Its been said a while back that kakashi cant handle Gai at this level but have we forgotten kakashi now has the ablity to warp himself toward an opponent. It wont take him much time to use it either. He has increased the speed of kumui in these war arc greatly warping naruto so fast that obito was even fooled(P.S fooling a guy with a sharingan and rinnegan not to mention this is his own ability...thats a pretty good feat). We know that kakashi can now use kumui on himself as well. When Gai uses Hirodora he can simply warp himself away. He can now use kumui like six times so i say he can warp himself to and fro about three times. When he warps back to the world he can use raikiri on guy almost as if he is teleporting towards Gai. Obito could keep up with minato for a while with this tech so why cant it keep up with gai? The fight not be so one sided after all.

He wouldnt be able to absorb all of hirudora because its not a chakra based attack...its more like a very strong and sharp gust attack and probably has a crap load of range so i dont think so

Yea i forgot to add the clones in the thread...a lightning clone would be particularly effective since it would keep guy paralized for a while if he makes physical contact. I agree with this and for people who didnt understand the first time i didnt say he can absorb hirudora i said kakashi can warp himself fast enough to avoid it.

big assumption about him being able to warp his self six times ! lighting clones take half of his chakra . besides that gai speed in 7th gate is way to fast for kakashi to keep up with .

let me get this right . your saying kakashi can beat gai 7th gate because he could kamui six times . gai speed with 7th gate open would be a blur to kakashi . no way is kakashi going to hit him with a kumui ! hirudora or asakujaku wouldnt be needed .
For the last time people listen carefully this is my third time explaining so plz read ahead before you post. I never intended kakashi to use it on gai bcuz he is fast and would prob miss a moving target. I said kakashi could use it on HIMSELF so he can dodge his nastier attacks like hirodora. Warping to and from the dimension requires 2kumui. He can use it six times already so this ability is available to him a total of 3 times. Thank you for listening

Not automatic in fact kakashi might even lose a few times but Gai cant stay seventh gate for long at all and after warping the first time their are many ways to go about this. Kakashi send a lightning clone which guy will attack. Pain didnt even know kakashi was using a lightning clone at first and he has a RINNEGAN. The clone will paralyze gai and now he's goin to die, or we know when gai uses hirodora he's basically KO'd Himself all kakashi has to do is dodge and once agin win. Gai's attacks are evn more hurtful to the body then Kakashi's tech's are so its more of a risk for gai.

once again your losing me with your logic . The scenerio you made up doesnt make sense in alot of ways . Not trying to diss you just saying . For example your assuming that 1) kakashi has enough time to kamui hisself before getting attacked . 2nd assumption gai would stay in gates mode while kakashi is in other dimension . the scenerio you set up is flawed . If you really want to debate this we can but .........
Sure i havent had a debate in awhile.... i added the obito minato fight to prove that kumui can keep up with fast opponents. Minato is the fastest shinobi alive yet obito was keeping up with him. Second in this war arc kakashi has sped up the time it takes to use kumui. Ex when he warped the naruto clone before the stake got to it. This fooled a sharingan rinnegan user who knows about this tech as well so the speed of this scenario must have been pretty fast for obito to miss it with his eyes. This supports kakashi can warp himself fast. Second the lighning clone scenario works against guy even without the gates. Kakashi warps sends out Lclone then warps to a location away from gai. gai can either hit it or use his only real long ranged attack hirodora. In both cases he is screwed. (He is either paralyzed or bed ridden). If gai starts with hirodora kakashi can warp himself away fast enough to dodge it.

If he had a dosage of Hashirama's cells, I'd say he'd be able to take around 3 Gates without too much damage to himself.
There's no way he's surviving 7 Gates, however, especially without Hashirama's cells.
