Just cause tobirama was the 2nd hokage doesn't make him a new generation, he is part of hashirama's generation, they're brothers. Or did you not get that? Lol xd

He should still get much stronger (it just matters whether Kishi decides to show it) unless he happens to die off sometime soon but I don't really see that happening. He's just now starting to really become good with his MS and I still don't think he's done evolving that either. Kakashi is very smart and I think he's capable of doing better than in most of the fights we've seen.

I know he's copied tons of jutsu's but in my eyes he needs to add more variety to his fighting style than just using these jutsu's for counters.

Tsunade is better in taijutsu. She is not as slow as you think. And she needs to kick Kakashi only once.
In ninjutsu they are equal. Tsunade can heal herself, she has chakra scapel, body pathway derengement and a giant slug. Kakashi has offensive jutsus, but if he is injured he can do nothing.
Maybe Kakashi is good in Genjutsu, but Tsunade can break from them, because she has the most perfect chakra controll. And dont forget that she has more battle experience.

out it this way, the title of "Kage" is higher than anything else, including sannin, yet the sannin can take almost every Kage out there.

so no, he wasn't stronger than the sannin, if anything on par with just one sannin. and I doubt Kakashi will surpass the sannin unless he is granted a crazy powerup. yes he will surpass his father though. when kakashi said the next generation surpasses the previous one, he's talking within that same family tree.

After seeing what Kakashi is doing right now, there is no doubt in my head that he is/will surpass the sannins(at least he surpass tsunade from my point of view)
