The only way i see Obito helping Kakashi is 1. Obito finds out that is was Zetsu clone that killed Rin and not Kakashi himself (guess that if it wasnt actually kakashi) 2. Obito finds out just how much of a pawn he has been to Madara.
Madara knew he needed someone to carry on his plans because he was too old and too weak. Obito was already broken physically and he needed to break him mentally (Rin dying), so Madara could "rebuild" him the way he wanted.
Obito will realize this at the end (just before his death), and will help Kakashi.
