that red coloring is quite disturbing. try using a nice color which pleases the viewers eyes. oh and also use manga stream scans for making manga art style avatars and signatures 'cause they look good.

Like the guy above said, use a nicer, darker red. Since it's manga style, colors usually should be darker than they are. It just fits better with Grayscale.
