Orochimaru is a genius, but put it this way. He appears to be slow in base speed. Amazing in ninjutusu. Fairly good in other attributes.

Jiraiya is the strongest of the three sannin in their prime.

Kakashi gives them the edge in this fight.
And edo tensei.

Oro and Kakashi would win.
But of your replace gai with maybe someone else on gai's level.
Then Jiraiya and Guy would win.

Taijutsu doesn't really work on Oro, as we have seen when tsunade viciously attacked him.. :-/

Guys i have voted for Kakashi and Oro because Kakashi isn't weak at all (but he even says himself that everyone thinks of him a of dude in hospital) and Oro > Sasuke with CM and Sasuke = Sage Mode (as fanboys say) if SM> Sasuke then Naruto wins with him but that's another story.
An I doubt my choice because even though Orochimaru could challenge 4 tails Kurama cloak he died while at it and as we know Jiraya was near death when it happened to him (without SM) also the toads Jiraya summoned before he died are huge and awesome and can put up a good fight against Orochimarus snakes. Orochimarus sword can be blocked by Juraiyas hair and also Jiraya is not limited in his techniques. He has some ultimate solutions that brought down couple Pains before he died (probably because of no intel on them and their shared vision) . I'm no fan boy of any of the characters in this thread btw
I also know that Gai always loses with kakashi. But with all the techniques he used on Kisame I assume he could not only wipe out quite a nice piece of land (asakoujaku or whatever) but has skill to fight with Oro himself. If so then Jiraya can defeat Kakashi and possibly badly injured but fight Orochimaru with his summons, SM, and Gai on his side. Also he can hide while Gai is fighting and use that powerful sage genjutsu... I mean there are many possibilities of win for both sides so I say both can win (even tho I voted for Kakashi Oro pair)

His taijutsu has recently turned into ninjutsu taijutsu as we've seen in Kisame fight ;P I think they both own based on different scenarios and digging strategies that they can come up with.

you for got that gai has ranged taijutsu so yes it kinda would work on oro an you said it your self j man is stronger then oro and kakashi is stronger then gai so its a pretty even fight

I don't think people should take the "rivalry" between Gai and Kakashi seriously. I think that record was just for jokes. Gai has the superior Body/physical prowess while Kakashi has the range in ninjustu. Either one can kill each other it is just the matter of can Kakashi hang in there long enough to beat a 2 to 6 gate Gai.

Nothing has been shown to make Oro stronger than J-man unless you count Oro's final moments in the fight with sasuke, the White Snake. That fight was like the one with the 3rd vs Oro when the 3rd was "weakened" by old age but with Oro being sick. So Karma is a B****.

This fight is a very tough to call, but Orochimaru being able to summon the sound four ruined it for me. That means a 6 on 2 fight. Mabye if you had of put Jiraiya and Kakashi vs Oro and Gai with the sound four as edo summons, then mabye that would have been a bit more even.
With Oros edo's, Oro and Kakashi win.
Without Oros edo's, Jiraiya and Gai win.
