I was just watching some part one (back in the day when kishi had good animation) and I wondered if anyone knew how exactly oro and kakashi know each other

Probably through Jiraiya. I don't actually have a theory, but it isn't necessary. We can assume its either Jiraiya or Minato over the seat of Hokage, but Orochimaru left Konoha before Minato was made Hokage so...

we dont when kakashi began his strained relationship with his father
Kakashi has been a jounin and ANBU member since he was very young. Orochimaru was a missing nin, it's only natural that he had info on him. Also if I am not mistaken Orochimaru mentioned to Kakashi once "You didn't have this before" (talking about his sharingan) so I can assume they've met sometime in the village.

They are both highly skilled ninja from the Leaf. Any ninja worth his head band knows how to gather intel on any threat.
Zabuza never met Kakashi before their encounter in the first series yet he was able to figure out who he is due to prior knoweledge of Kakashi's reputation.

In the Chuunin exams arc, Kakashi was attempting to place a temporary seal on Sasuke, to prohibit the Curse Seal.
Orochimaru then appeared and remarked that he was suprised Kakashi was using sealing jutsu now and that he had ''Grown''
Orochimaru as a Sannin was revered by Konoha, as he was a genius and the student of the Third, so its Natural Kakashi knew of Him
But im sure Orochimaru kept tabs on talented Ninja in the village and a student of Minato isn't far fetched, as Minato knew Orochimaru personally,and seeing that he wasn't Hokage when Kakashi became a jounin, im sure Orochimaru knew him then

This is so obvious it even a caveman can would know it.Kakashi is a leaf shinobi.Orochimaru was a Leaf shinobi.Why wouldn't Orochimaru know him.Kakashi was a jonin at seven, you think Orochimaru wouldn't know a leaf jonin in the same village as him.And yes Orochmaru was in the village as the same time as Kakashi.Kakashi and Kabuto are around the same age and Oochimaru was with Danzo when he recruited Kabuto, adding proof to the fact that Orochimaru was still in the village and a leaf shinobi during kakashi's younger years.

Kakashi was five years old when Sakumo committed suicide.
On the beginning of the series Kakashi is 26 and the Sannin are 50.
50 - 26 = 24 + 5 = 29 >>> the Sannin were 29 at the time when Sakumo died.

What the hell? Please make sure you know better first before speaking BS. Orochimaru left the village 6-7 years after Minato's death. He is a missing-nin for about 10 years.
