Kakashi and Obito dying together?

Maybe the reason for keeping Kakashi in the dimension is that Kakashi may play a key part in Obito's end. I can see Naruto and the rest of the alliance preparing a huge justu to take down Obito (and maybe Madara if he's still not sealed). At this point all of the Hokages would have been sealed. Then when it seems as if Obito has completely evaded it, Kakashi will warp back and restrain Obito from evading the justu but knows that he won't have enough time to manuever himself killing them both in the process, which would finally give Kakashi the closure he has desired. Either that or he may sacrifice himself for Naruto as he has said it quite a lot.

Madara will seal Hashirama, and I think Obito still has human path so he can remove their souls.

OT: Well it would be cool if they both died together, but still it would be boring since Obito is just in such of higher level now. With would be boring if Kakashi somehow could find any weakness of him instead of Naruto or Sasuke.

I can see that happening.. I would think Naruto, Minato and Sasuke would fight Obito until they're on the brink of death and Kakashi saves them and dies in the process as you've stated and then he has his final words and parts away..
