I think personally that Kakashi and Hiruzen have similarly the same style from what we know from each other. I will try to put my analysis about it by comparing each other(notice that i'm trying to compare with prime Hiruzen from what we've seen from old Hiruzen)
Ninjutsu: So far we know, Hiruzen has 2affinities(katon and doton jutsus) when Kakashi has shown 3affinities: Suiton, doton, raiton, and even katon if we believe in the anime. So when Hiruzen uses katon like this for example
, -you can notice Nidaime countered it with a suiton suijinheki, a jutsu Kakashi can use also-, Kakashi can counter it like this:
What is also funny is that the doton jutsu(doton doryuuheki) Hiruzen created here against Nidaime to counter his suiton,
can also be used by Kakashi:
And apart from that he has also has raiton jutsu(his main affinity) and a lot of other jutsus with raiton, doton, suiton element
The two of them could use Kage bunshin but now it depends on stamina they each have to maintain the jutsu:
The two of them are really skillfull in ninjutsu even praised to be able to use thousand jutsus:
So personally i think Kakashi has the edge in ninjutsu since he has elementar advantage(suiton>katon and doton=doton) and even one more affinity than Hiruzen(Kakashi has raiton also), but i must admit also that Kakashi had more screen time than him, so maybe he had jutsus we have not seen.
And besides from that, Hiruzen has his summoning jutsu which is really useful for him in his fights especially thanks to his defense harder than diamond. He can also use it to fight in close combat and have a certain advantage
That justify also why both of them have 5/5 in ninjutsu in the databook
Taijutsu: I think both of them have shown to be really skillfull in this department. Kakashi especially has shown too much all along this manga that could help us to know he is a really skillfull taijutsu fighter. The fact he has a partner like Gai(one of the strongest taijutsu fighter in NU) probably helped him to improve his skill during his life. Proof is that he can even open gates himself and even currently he has shown being able to fight on par with him(6gates) against Tailed beast.
On the other side, Hiruzen has shown to be really skillfull while fighting Kages avoiding Mokuton, placing explosiv tags on them without they even notice.
Anyway you can see it yourself in the manga. The both of them are good in taijutsu
If we refer in the databook, Hiruzen has slightly the edge though, since he has 5/5 in taijutsu when Kakashi "only" has 4.5/5 in taijutsu
Genjutsu:
If we refer in databook, Hiruzen has the edge since he has 5/5 in genjutsu when Kakashi has 4 there, but in the manga he hasn't shown genjutsu skills and was in the contrary caught in Hashirama's genjutsu. And even if he is stronger in genjutsu like databook says, i think the fact Kakashi has the sharingan give him advantage since it helps him to see quicker through genjutsus and possibly counter them. He has also shown being able to cast strong sharingan genjutsus against Zabuza or against Anbus.
Sharingan has shown to be really usefull. For example, Sasuke also has "only" 4/5 in genjutsu when Orochimaru has 5/5 there, but he was still defeated by the sharingan power
So i personally from what we've seen, i would have given Kakashi the edge here, but we never know
Stamina: If we refer to the last databook, old Hiruzen and Kakashi had the same amount of chakra(3/5 for each other), but from what we've seen in the manga, i personally think Kakashi has the edge here since he has shown to be able to use much more jutsus than Hiruzen.
His stamina has increased since part1 cuz he trained hard with it like databook says so that he could use more jutsus with less chakra. Hiruzen for example feared to use kage bunshins for example when it's a jutsu Kakashi uses very often. But i think also that with age, Hiruzen's stamina decreased like this Anbu said here:
So i believe prime Hiruzen had more chakra. So in stamina i think Hiruzen had more chakra than Kakashi
Intelligence: I think here we all know how much smart Kakashi is. He shows his skills in almost every battle where he is fighting. He was even known as the number one tactician in Konoha and notice that was even when Hiruzen was alive.
Speed: Kakashi has been praised all along in this manga cuz of his impressiv speed even by Tobi:
Hiruzen old didn't seemed to be that fast, and even databook says he only had 3/5 in speed when Kakashi has 4.5/5 there. Even if we consider speed decreased with age i think there will still be a gap, so i'll give the edge to Kakashi here
So if we compare their skill, i believe they are similar. What do you think? :noc:
