First off the reason why this is a fair comparison is because of the situation, J-man fought pain with no intel, on enemy turf, with no support
Kakashi fought with no intel either, barring shared vision which he ended up confirming for himself anyway. Enemy turf was to Jiraiya's advantage, as Pain did not want to damage his home village. The guy randomly unsummoned his best animal summon (Cerberus), and fought Jiraiya with support paths.
final results j-man takes out 4 pains
Because all Pain bodies are equal, amirite? Deva Realm curb stomped Sage Mode Naruto and incapacitated a toad army with utter ease. This was the path Kakashi was up against, not the obese path that could do nothing but absorb. Not an Animal path that stopped summoning, probably in hopes of reducing any further destruction of his village.
In the end, Jiraiya admitted he would
die fight Animal, Preta, and Human path. He ended up fleeing and resorting to a Genjutsu that he never even knew existed prior to this battle.
kakashi had intel(gathered by j-man)
What intel? "The real one isn't there" doesn't help much in battle. And as I said earlier, Kakashi ended up confirming shared vision himself in his battle; he didn't blindly rely on it.
What does this even mean? Did being in Konoha affect Kakashi's performance in any way?
No.
Being in Konoha just meant Pain was okay with nuking people with Shinra Tensei left and right.
Orochimaru was playing with naruto to see how powerful he was and he had no jutsus
What jutsu has Orochimaru shown that he wouldn't have been able to use without arms? He used arm snakes, he used gathering of one thousand snakes, he used Rashomon gates; hell, most of Orochimaru's battle feats stem from that very battle. Outside of that, all he had was a weak Futon from Part I.
Furthermore, the Jinchuuriki combatted by Gai and Kakashi were equipped with Sharingan / Rinnegan, and were not mindless; they were fighting with purpose, dodging attacks and retaliating appropriately as opposed to Naruto, who for the most part relied on his tankiness throughout the battle.
That whole thing about edo tensi besides stand there what did sasuke do to help him with edo tensi
Sasuke was the one who revived him in the first place, gave him the reaper scroll, and prepared the Zetsu bodies. This would not be possible in a normal scenario. Edo Tensei is not a "passive" or normal power in Orochimaru's arsenal, anymore so than Itachi's Kotoamatsukami.
and the only reason that they released themselves was because he wanted them to talk to sasuke if he would have immediately binded them when they were brought back they would all be under his control, but still hokages 2-4 is still impressive.
There is no evidence that suggests he would be able to control Hashirama or Tobirama as easily as standard Edo Tensei. Tobirama can only be controlled thanks to Zetsu cells. If even Hashirama rebels, Orochimaru will have set himself up to get defeated by his own summon.
In a normal scenario you don't animate the body before you place the tag in this was demonstrated by both orochimaru and kabuto
Orochimaru revived Jonin level Kage in Part I, thus why it was far simpler to control them. Kabuto was juiced on numerous different abilities, not to mention had Anko to power his control over them.
I was in favor of guy and kakashi surpassing the sannin until i read this post and it completely changed my mind the only one they have surpassed is tsuande
Tsunade was surpassed long ago. She is easily the weakest of those deserving of the Kage rank, alongside people like Hiruzen and Mei. Jiraiya and Orochimaru were surpassed when Kakashi was able to use Kamui competently / displayed an improved chakra pool, and when Gai displayed 6th / 7th gate abilities.
