He'd probably still be known as The Copy Ninja. And yes, I believe he is strong enough to become an Akatsuki member (especially know that he knows how to use Kamui) but he never would have been able to join the organization considering that Obito was spearheading the operation behind the scenes. I kinda doubt Obito would've let Kakashi join Akatsuki because that could've contributed to his identity being discovered long before his plan was in motion.

If you put it in the scenario that Kakashi would've been hit by the rock instead of Obito, Kakashi wouldn't have the sharigan which is a nerf to his skills really. And without Obito Akatsuki wouldn't be the same like it is now.

TNJ means Talk No Jutsu, which is created by some member :| It's like when Naruto talks and makes a villain good, just like how he talked and made Nagato come to the good side. Naruto did it with other villains too, and so people named it Talk No Jutsu which is the most effective against people.
