Kakashi’s Pain​

I think Kakashi has the most painful experience of all regarding death of loved ones. But still he overcame it and became a great ninja of his time. Let us not forget the he is the sensei of Naruto and Sasuke first, before they’ve been an apprentice of each of the Legendary Sannin.


Kakashi > Naruto = Sasuke (*Part 1 haha ‘cause they’ve been both stronger in Part 2)


He witnessed mostly all the death’s of his loved ones.
> Kakashi’s Mom - I don’t know how she died (maybe by giving birth?), but the fact that Kakashi has no mother when he grew up is sad
> Hatake Sakumo - his father who committed suicide right at home (so imagine being haunted eek)
> Uchiha Obito - his comrade who saved him and was crashed by a boulder (just when they found friend in each other)
> Nohara Rin - his comrade who chose to end her life in his hands to protect Konoha (But she doesn’t need to jump right through. She can commit suicide on her own! lol Thus giving trauma to Kakashi)
> Namikaze Minato - his sensei who he looks up to
> Uzumaki Kushina - his sensei’s wife who he protected in a mission during her pregnancy

and other depressing moments of his life
> Uchiha Sasuke’s revenge act and being a rogue ninja - he kinda took that responsibility for not being a good sensei to him
> Obito’s comeback after all these years of believing he’s dead and regretting the broken promise for not protecting Rin
> Madara got his sharingan, yes the sharingan whom he got from Obito as a gift and been famous as “Kakashi the Sharingan” / “Copy Ninka Kakashi”
> and most painful of all… HE HAS NO LOVE LIFE! LOL



So who had the most painful experiences?
*I just research fully on Kakashi didn’t bother on others, but here’s a rundown (feel free to add if I ever missed something)

-Itachi
- for killing his clan (still he’s not close to everyone there)
- witnessed the death of his best friend Shisui and can’t do anything about it
- killing his parents in front of his beloved brother

-Obito
- being an Uchiha and not being talented at first, everyone’s picking on him
- friend zoned by Rin
- half body got crushed by the boulder

-Sasuke
- saw how his brother killed his parents
- the trauma of the deaths of his clan
- the brother he thought who loves him was a murderer
- the truth behind his brothers action and the confusion of the lies it brought

-Naruto
- being an orphan
- ostracized by everyone because of the Kyuubi
- no talent at first
- being a jinchuuriki
- the death of Jiraiya-sensei (but didn’t witness)
- the death of Neji (the first loved one he witnessed to die?)

-Gaara
- being ostracized
- being a jinchuuriki

-Shikamaru
-the death of Asuma-sensei
-the death of his father during war​

Sasuke did, imagine your whole family dying at the age of seven by your loved older brother. Then you kill him & realize the true circumstances, he couldn't really be at fault -- it was an order given by the village.


At the age of 7, you don't really know anyone outside your family. That's quite literally almost everyone you know at that point.

In my eyes Sasuke's child hood is not even comparable to anyone else's, but that's my opinion.

It's impossible to say objectively who had to experience the "worst pain".
Pain, sorrow, desperation etc. are subjective feelings that every person has to define for themself.

Forget measuring the amount of pain they had in their lives. Kakashi at least never went bad, or was even hinted to go bad. Dude was forever loyal to his comrades and never abandoned the village. We don't even know if he had a dark side the way Naruto did.

Danzo: Inferiority complex leads to massacres and breaches of international peace
Jiraiya: Left Konoha to wander and perv
Gaara: Tried to kill everybody
Haku: Joined a mercenary murderer
Itachi: Psychological torture-fest on Sasuke
Konan: Became a terrorist
Madara: Tried to mind control everyone
Naruto: Pathological need to find people who hurt him to be the coolest guys, also apparently has a Dark Naruto
Obito: Tried to mind control everyone
Pain: Became a terrorist
Sakumo Hatake: Suicide
Sasuke: Tried to kill everybody
Shikamaru: Took up smoking (xD - but for real, he still smokes in Gaara: Hiden)
Shisui: Shisuicide
Toneri: Tried to blow up the world and, I guess, the moon?
Tsunade: Left Konoha to wander, drink, and gamble
Zabuza: Amounted to suicide

What does Kakashi do in response to his pain?
-Shows up late
-Visits a grave

Kakashi's did. Databook also goes into great lengths about his suffering and how despite that, Kakashi maintained a positive outlook on life and grew stronger because of this. It also explains that it ate Kakashi up inside as he failed in rescuing Sasuke into the darkness and did everything he could to prevent it.

yes sasuke lost fam but he was a kid with tremendous talent and was loved and admired by virtually everyone.Garra was hated and was almost killed by the person who was supposed to love him most (his father) and the person he thought did (his uncle).That's a sh*t load of pain for a kid.his pain neggs sasuke's no doubt

Didn't his dad's suicide caused him to despise those who don't adhere to rules? But I guess it's way less extreme than the examples you mentioned

I respect your opinion. Yes, it's really traumatizing and Itachi-niisan used this hatred for Sasuke to still go on in life, even if it were to kill him.

- a civillian, being in the middle of the battlefield between two large villages
- Konoha shinobi's killed his parents in front of him
- became an orphan
- full of hope and dreams become reality but then, Danzo and Hanzo's evil plan succeed
- forced to kill his bestfriend
- killed Jiraiya-sensei

- Talked to his Father in afterlife, and able to forgive him
- He reconciliated with Obito before he died
- He became the 6th Hokage
