" DIO mutters as the boat carrying his party crossed through the Kaizoku Sea. The dark water churned against the side against of the vessel, the area virtually dead save for their transport and a cool wind whistling a salty smell through the air. His arms folded, DIO lightly tapped his right index finger against his left bicep. "Quite reminds me of that ocean."
I softly state, as I finds myself on the cold, harsh waters in a rather small, inadequate vessel. Clothed in dark garments, and my head obscured, I would venture forth as a lone traveler. The Wilds made me who I am, however, there was so much to discover, and so much to explore. With wide eyes, and a determination, I would set forth to find like minded individuals, capable of destruction and malice, as well as peace and balance, at their whim. The idea of the Kisei remained rampant in my mind, washing back and forth like the waves that carried my very being. Who were they? What were they? I would soon discover, or so I hoped.
had all but vanished under the horizon. Aegon continued to travel across the Kaizoku Sea atop Balerion, moving closer to the mainland. Frequently Aegon would soar downward toward the surface of the ocean to scoop up fish, capturing them and putting them into a sack on Balerion's back.
and Balerion continue to soar across the Kaizoku Sea. He urged Balerion to move faster, but knew that the mighty dragon was already going as quickly as he could. Meanwhile, Orys groaned behind him; the blood from his stump dripping down Balerion's side.
This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:
- Custom: Overcome a problematic situation (3) - Defend against or attack another group (4)
Summary: Having set out to the sea, Medusa and her crew would face another predicament which they battle on their way. Survival or total destruction. Which one would it be?
The Kaizoku sea was quiet in the day though not much was seen when it comes to activity. It seems a lonely world but caution should be taken as it has been said that the sea is also a usual route for pirates and sea monsters. However, this fateful evening was quite a dreadful one as Medusa and her crew faces a new threat that could be the end of their journey.
It all started with a gentle breeze and even the crew begin to admire the serenity and the bliss of the sea. Medusa is situated at the rear of the ship, discussing with one of the crew member. Two of the crew mates cast a large net to the calm sea and wait for luck to direct a fair number of fishes to their bosom. A crew mate on the upper deck can be heard cleaning the ship as well as the noise of those who surround two arm wrestlers. It clearly looks like a normal day where nothing could go wrong until the clouds starts gathering. Within a minute, the sky turned dark and violent sounds of thunder could be heard consistently.
The entire crew would respond according, quickly preparing for what is to come. Definitely a storm is coming but how violent it would turn out to be, no one knows. The fishing net is withdrawn and every crew member would retreat into the control room to wait out the rain. The rain started soft but it would seize to stop, instead it grows into a massive downpour that immediately changes the tides of the sea. A once calm sea would all of a sudden, transform into a raging disaster. The waves would build up behind the ship, ready to cascade and bury the entire ship in its watery depths. Far off in front of the ship, a giant whirlpool would grow and it's just a matter of time before the ship reaches it's suction proximity, that is if the ship has not been leveled to bits from the massive wave behind it.
The crew mates have begun to chant whatever they know is best or close to prayers while some went to Medusa if she could help. Medusa smirks while moving towards the highest point of the ship. She could not sense any chakra within the phenomena nor was there any being with chakra around apart from those on the ship. She could tell the phenomena is natural. She would begin to ponder on her options. She is not ready to lose the ship as it is their transport back to Tenkaichi. She senses several sea monsters lurking around hoping for a descent meal from a shipwreck.
Crona: You've got this mother.
To take care of the immediate threat, Medusa would channel a large amount of her chakra into the large wave and the surrounding water beneath the ship. The water beneath the ship would begin to lift the ship gradually as another wave form, only this time, the ship would be riding the wave. The newly forming wave takes water from its surrounding, and from the giant wave behind. This makes it so that as the new wave increases in size, the former reduces until it merges and melds with the new wave forming just one giant wave with the ship atop of it. The crew mates were all astonished seeing what is going on though Medusa just stands there doing some hand gestures.
The threat is not over as the whirlpool before them can still be troublesome. By this time, Medusa would muster a smile. The new wave was particularly bigger than the whirlpool and while Medusa still imbues more chakra into the water, the wave continues to grow, even absorbing to its volume the water from the whirlpool, pulling away the suction effect and adding the water to its own while growing bountifully. The scene was astonishing as the height of the wave brings the ship close to the skies. The crew mates could even see far distant lands which they could not have seen on a normal day, lands which would still take them days before reaching.
After riding the wave for several minutes, the ship has passed the predicament and they could have continued but Medusa needs her concentration on more pressing matters.
Medusa: Brace yourselves for landing.
The crew mates would hold on to the ship, while Medusa lowers the waves by making the wave carefully collapse. The ship would speed up that as it touches sea level, it reaches 300% it's normal speed before retarding after a several minutes. The storm has passed which shows as the rain stops. The clouds begin to pave way for the moonlight to shine upon the dark ocean giving it a pale blue hue. The crew mates see it fit the time has come to get some rest. They search for Medusa but she was nowhere to be found. They looked everywhere and we're scared if she had been taken by the storm. Could she have sacrificed herself? They thought. Medusa would already be on her bed sleeping. It has been a long hectic day, she needed the rest.
(Suiton: Kyojin Nami Shougeki) – Water Release: Giant Wave Crash
Description: The user gathers a large amount of water that can then be used to crash into the opponent. It is strong enough to push back Killer bee in Eight tales form.
Note: Requires a water source.
The next day......
It was dawn but still dark, white or whatever but a firmament was present. Nothing can really be seen as the ship was greeted by a thick blanket of mist. One could have mistaken it for an ascension into heaven. The only thing is, everyone is still on the ship and could still feel themselves swerving which means they are atop the sea. They could not see the water surface though. This prompts one of the crew member to climb to the highest point of the ship to have a look at the surrounding and horizon. They don't really want another precarious situation. They are travelling blind and they don't even know if there are any obstacle on the way. They could for all they know, hit a rock or navigate off course.
How unnatural to have a very thick fog in the middle of the sea. They are not even close to the shore nor have they gotten near their destination island yet. A falcon would perch on top of the mast, linger for a moment while glancing downwarss towards the ignorant crew mates. It would then fly away. Medusa on the other hand, sleeps peacefully in her cabin oblivious to the new situation. Crona is not asleep and would sense the mist and the falcon. She chose to ignore it for the mean time. The crew mates would continue to navigate the sea blind, hoping they are lucky.
Should we wake Lord Medusa? Are you crazy? We should be able to handle this on our own. Besides it would be rude to wake her up just for something minor.
After several minutes, the falcon would return to the ship, only this time, it would bring along with it, men from nowhere. They would silently climb onto to ship and with swift movements, nab, knockout and restrain the entire crew mates. Crona would sense three of them moving towards Medusa's cabin. Medusa would be alerted by Crona but she's lazy to get up. Instead she continues on the bed with her eyes close hoping to fall back asleep. Crona would wait for them to draw near before acting. As one of them tries to touch Medusa, several snakes would burst out of her body, grabbing, restraining and mauling them while throwing their lifeless body out of the cabin. It all happened so fast that a tone of surprise would be seen on the lifeless face of the intruders. Crona however would purposely spare the falcon so that it could take the news to wherever the intruders might be from.
Medusa forces a little smile. She knows she has someone who watches out for her. Although sensing the intruders' chakra, they were nothing compared to even her test subjects, however, it's good to know her daughter could take good decisions herself. Crona notices Medusa's pretense.
Crona: Holy Shit! You are awake. You got me there mother. Medusa: hmm. I see you are having fun. There are still more of them. Can you handle them alone?
Hearing in her mind what Medusa said to her about more of the intruders coming made Crona carefully use her sensory to follow the bird and before long, she followed her to their ship, the enemy's ship. Medusa was right, they are a fleet and even some of them are with strong chakra. The ship is headed their way and seems they are even the cause of the weird mist. Crona would reply Medusa.
Crona: Seems you'll have to help with this one mother. Although I know it's piece of cake for you, dealing with the whole lot requires a special touch.
Medusa would groggily sit on her bed. She would think she's blind for a moment due to the mist, then she would sense chakra within the mist and readjust her other sensory that even the mist wouldn't be a barrier. She senses the crew mates but would leave them be. They are safe the way they are as what is about to happen is above them. Medusa would not have anyone pissing himself all over the ship. Perceiving the enemy ship, it's twice if not thrice that of Medusa's. There are 72 men stationed in the ship and two with strong chakra source. Those may be their leader. What could be their motive? Why would they attack someone who has not done anything to upset them. Are they a band of misfits called pirate? If so they would rather kill everyone or save some to becomes slaves. But by now they should know about their 3 dead members and it's almost obvious they are here for blood. They would show no mercy. Good.
Medusa flex her muscles while doing a little stretch to release every tensed muscles after the long nap. The look in her face shows the attacker would be a morning warm up exercise. The mist she would leave be as she likes to let her prey believe they have the upper hand. Besides the mist would also be their downfall as it would equally affect their perception when they get close. Medusa's ship is a cruise ship. For that reason, they have no weapons or cannons onboard. This means the ship has no durability and Medusa would not let anything to dent even the body of the ship. She would stand at the edge of the ship, on the side facing the incoming enemy ship.
The enemy ship is a big battle ship that flies a black flag. They are one of the most notorious pirates along the Kaizoku sea and from their emblem which is three hound skulls, they are the Cerberus pirates, captained by the well known Death Fang. Medusa could sense Fang standing also at the edge of the ship. The ship has several giant cannons out front and all already aimed at Medusa. The moment they got to a 50m distance from Medusa they fire the first round of cannons as a warning shot and to smash part of the boat, if possible crush those within it in one go. Medusa would command Crona to split away from her while giving her other instructions.
Medusa: You know what to do.
Crona nods and as the cannon balls reaches proximity and almost touching the boat, they would halt instantly while being controlled by Crona. 12 cannon balls and the 3 dead bodies earlier would be sent back towards the enemy ship but before that, Medusa would jump on one of the cannons so as to convey herself towards the enemy ship. The balls and carcasses are sent back hitting the ship hard and leaving them surprised and scathed that the pirates would immediately stop their ship from moving further into the mist. They had not seen it coming as they are also now within the mist they had made initially. Panicking, Fang would quickly lift the mist from the sea so as to see clearly what has transpired. Luckily for him, nobody among his crew was killed from the attack but a chunk of his boat has suffered from the bludgeoning. He would however, see his three skilled members that he sent out earlier, all maimed and lifeless on his boat. This would prompt him to start looking around in search of someone aboard.
Medusa stands there quietly on top of the ship's mast looking down towards Fang who would now spot her. Fang would then arrogantly call for Medusa's surrender.
Fang: It's only you against 72 of us. You are outnumbered. Surrender your ship and I might spare you if you become my concubine. (laughs)
Medusa would ignore Fang as if he isn't even speaking to her. Instead, she would drop from the mast and land gently on the top open deck of the ship. Fang would give a last warning towards Medusa.
Fang: You must wish for death so much that you are willing to give your life away for a ship we are still going to take no matter what. (laughs mockingly)
Medusa ignores once again, standing there and looking at Fang in a playful manner. She would smile and almost burst to laughter. She would get bored if any more of those stupid words comes out of the stupid captain's mouth once more. She wants action and she hope they charge towards her already.
Fang on the other hand is pissed off with Medusa's silence and mockery. He also fears her courage. Due to this facts he would quickly command his troops to snuff out Medusa. With a mocking and arrogant smirk, the pirates runs towards Medusa in a beastly frenzy bearing all sort of assorted weapons. Medusa would wait for the first person to aim at her, she would use her immensely superior speed to quickly appear behind him, disarm him from his kodachi and slit his throat. From that moment, Medusa would not be perceived again by any of the pirates as she moves at 2x the speed of a sage which is far beyond what they can perceive in their daydreams. Medusa wants to break a sweat, and moving around swiftly and gracefully while killing 71 of the pirates in the most gruesome way, would almost bring her close to shedding a drop. Medusa does not need to use ninjutsu agianst the likes of the pirates and would have also done the same for their captain if not that he was quick to run.
A coward he is. As soon as Medusa eliminates the 71st pirate, Fang would unleash a series of explosion that would push Medusa back into the sea. Medusa would jump back into to sea to avoid the explosion. Standing on the surface of the water however, Medusa sees Fang hurriedly trying to escape via a small fast boat. She was not expecting the leader of a known pirate group to run for his dear life though she realized its understandable a pirate group is never a honourable one. She would nonetheless not let him escape. She would smear blood on her snake tattoo and summon Manda II in the sea. Upon manifestation, the giant snake would lunge towards the coward, swallowing both him and the boat in one tiny gulp. Medusa would move towards her ship as the ship behind her is crushed by Manda.
It's over and finally Medusa gives off a little sweat from the work out. Crona had woken the Crew mates before her arrival giving them the opportunity to be a testament of a great event from afar. Truly there was nothing they could have done. Crona merges with Medusa once more as the crew watches in awe the sinking pirate ship.
Senei Ta Jashu) - Multiple Hidden Shadow Snake Hands
Description: Senei Jashu is a Ninjutsu technique that manifests a torrent of snakes, which extend from the sleeve. The ninja can extend these snakes to attack a target. Once extended the snake can bite into the target to hold and bind them.
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This technique allows the user to control things that have no life functions by gifting them with some of their own life force, allowing the user to freely manipulate the substance according to their will. The extent of the user's control goes beyond normal manipulation through chakra, meaning that even drastic alterations to the immediate environment can occur both suddenly and unexpectedly, making attacks using this method extremely difficult to avoid. Intense heat such as that produced by the flames of Amaterasu can counter the effects of this technique, causing affected inorganic materials to revert to their previous state.
Note: Effects of the technique last two turns and can only be used while on Snake Sage Mode.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Nidaime Manda) - Summoning Technique: Manda II
Damage: N/A (-10 to user upon summoning)
Description: Manda II is even larger than the original, almost the same length as the Island Turtle, making it one of the largest summons so far in the series. It also has four appendages similar to arms with four clawed fingers along with a cobra-like hood and a rattlesnake's tail. Manda II's teeth also take on the form of a poisonous snake's fangs, resembling those of a cobra while Manda's teeth took on the form of constrictor snake's teeth. Like the previous Manda, he is purple, has green eyes and has the same dark markings over his eyes.
In contrast to the original Manda, Manda II lacks the four horn-like appendages on his head, and black rings running down his body. Also, unlike Manda, who was based more on an anaconda-like constrictor, Manda II has a mixture of features from many types of snakes and even oriental dragons, a trait related to the mixed DNA and manipulation Kabuto engineered while creating Manda II. Manda II is bigger, stronger, and has far more acute senses than the original. Its massive strength was shown that, even in the water, it slowed down the Giant Island Turtle with ease, yanking it back. The amount of chakra needed damages the user, making summoning Manda II a forbidden act. Manda II has some unique abilities. Extremely fast and strong, his tail acts as a sharp mace that he can fling at the enemies with ease, speed and tremendous power (capable of overcoming even A-Rank defenses). Manda II is also capable of using his chakra for 2 unique techniques: he can borrow underground (even if its affected by up to A-Rank techniques), tunneling through the earth at enormous speed or shed his skin, using a sort of substitution technique, where he trades places with his shed skin. While underground or underwater, Manda II can sense the vibrations through the earth and pinpoint the location of his enemy. While completely immune to techniques A-Rank and below, Manda can take one S-Rank attack and survive by shedding his skins afterwards, although this can only be done once.
Note: requires snake contract
Note: Can only be summoned by an Advanced Kabuto Yakushi Biography
Note: can only be summoned once
An endless view of landmasses and water as we pass on, closer to the place of interest. With every few hours passing, I could feel the excitement rise within me. Symmetra remained quiet. She really wasn't one for long trips, was she?
This post marks the start of my mission containing the following storyboard elements:
-Choose between what is right and what is easy (3)
After waking up from the attack on her, Nana doubts herself and her inner strength. She has to choose between staying dead and doing the right thing that is returning to Shimo and continuing to lead the people.
The gentle rocking of the waves against the boat nudged at Nana till she awakoe, staring at a steel grey sky with overcast cloud above her. There was a pain in the back of her neck, as it knocked against the wooden small boat that continued to float in the soft sea, guided by the current. Placing a hand to her head, still laying down, Nana tried to remember what happened and what was going on.
Last thing she remembered was travelling to the mainlands, going to check in on her messenger, he had been attacked and started a fight, there was someone else with her and then black. She felt dizzy, rubbing her head as the clouds began to darken, a sign of things to come. How did she end up here? What should she do now? Does anyone know where she is?
Gathering that they were in foreign territory and one of her councilman had started an attack, it was safe to assume that she had been attacked as well, by why was she still alive? Was it some form of mercy? Weakness? She thought to herself, should she go back?
Would there be any benefit to going back?
Nana had many thoughts flowing through her head as she passed out with the current taking her along.
