Yes, Absorption Kick basically uses the weight of the opponent's attack against them like that. It's a weird technique.
Now, watch out for Thunder Axe Kick that's coming up. It requires you to jump into the air, which is not always a smart choice... it often isn't... almost never is <.<
Tornado Throw is visually appealing, but holding onto a Shinobi for extended periods of time is inadvisable. Most people have some deadly touch-requiring stuff. Plus stuff like Nagashi.
