Its a Chinese-style building. Japanese buildings are typically wide while Chinese are typically tall. Kano is based off the Himalayas.

I actually thought that that was his ship and it had demonic horns on top to symbolize the beast that is Kaido.... but this actually makes sense.

Those kind of structures exist in China as well. China heavily influenced Japan and its temples usually have spikey roofs.

Yes, it can be anything, the reason I think it's Kaido is cos one of his henchmen was talking to the "thing". I don't think he'll be talking to a building or a boat, though a throne or a mount are equally as plausible.

Nope i thought it was kaidous silhouette also. The moment i saw it i was like ...."thats a beast!".
