Since it has been shown that kaguya has some kind of bone release could it be that the sages brother also had children (don't remember his name, don't care) and kimimaro is his descendant.

I think its from indras side since the 2 dots on kimimaros head looks like the ones on Indra and they had the same bone kekkei genkai so they named the clan after the mother of the ancestor

not ever decendrnt of Indra had Sharingan probably

Right on! I personally think that Hamura is where not only kimimaro's clan, the Kaguya, but also the byakugan and the the gold and silver brothers blood line. Ginkaku and Kinkaku. Probably a number of others too. And vice versa, I believe that more than just the Senju and Uchiha are descendants of Hagoromo.

There is obviously some connection between Kaguya Ootsutsuki and Kimimaro Kaguya.... Not only do they both have the bone ability, they both have dots on their forehead, and a zigzag pattern hairline. They also both have pure white hair(i think kaguya does).
