Mmm... it was stated that the flames of Amaterasu are from hell (Amaterasu can only be casted with the Mangekyō Sharingan; and Kaguya's third eye is essentially a Sharingan and Rinnegan combination). Also, the King of Hell, summoned by Pain via the Naraka Path has black flames around him (in the anime those flames are not black, but anyways, that might be just the way that the ones who make the anime decided to do so)... interesting.

Perhaps because both of them are connected to the Hell realm. The symbolism is strong here. Nice idea though. =D

Yeah, I think it makes sense considering Kaguya. The recent chapters actually showed that there are six realms. Whether Kaguya will conquer them with her army is an open question though .

Kaguya as the Gedo Mazo was an outer path summoning and could rip out souls, two qualities the King of Hell has. So there is a connection between the two and are most likely from the same place of origin like Toad Summonings are.

Well, I did make a theory on Kaguya being from the Hell Realm. Either she was banished to Hell by the Shinju or by a race of the Gods.

Yama was actually a Deva that ruled the Hell Realm, though.
