Kaguya's army makes no sense.

Apparently she created an army because she knew the ototsuki clan would come for her.

But what exactly are the Zetsus supposed to do against the likes of Kinshiki and Momoshiki? They get rekt no matter what.

Am i missing something?

Kaguya was OP as is, imagine having thousands upon thousands of zetsu’s as distractions to deal with.

I also think Zetsus can be used as a good distraction and to wear Otsutsuki down a bit while Kaguya stays strong and comes in for the fight when her opponents are weaker and more exhausted

. So I'd beneficially give each parasitic clone like basic low tier jonin level max or chunin level and having more than 100,000 jonin level people in a fight is a problem. Even the 3rd Raikage got killed by 1,000 people (giving them the benefit of the doubt of being jonin level) so maybe those fodders in numbers could be trouble.

I have a headcanon that the Otsutsuki have an armada that can just nuke planets from space

so the zetsu are for land based attrition but they were not fully completed due to Hagoromo and Hamura defeating Kaguya before she went to the next stage of zetsu development


her first stage was just turning humans into zetsus and also cloning them

The only confirmation that we got was that chakra fruit are made from live beings. So I take it that those red pills are chakras siphoned off from people while chakra fruits are the entire being.

Yes we do, they’re synthesized from Chakra fruit. Sasuke explained it in the Boruto manga.

White Zetsu is able to plant spores onto the bodies of others for the purpose of remotely monitoring them. As the spores have no chakra of their own, they cannot be detected by standard sensory abilities.[2] Once activated via time-delay, the spores grow into parasite clones by absorbing their host's chakra while also restricting their movements. They are also able to transfer said chakra to another individual by establishing physical contact with them.[3] The spores can also activate in order to shield their host from harm,[4] or be forced into activation and expelled from their host's body if that individual takes in senjutsu chakra.[5]

So far it doesn't seem like Ootsutsuki like Momoshiki&Kishiki can generate Chakra by themselves.

Zetsu also don't need to eat or drink.

Hashirama's Chakra could increase their effectiveness...so, they might be on a higher lv under Kaguya's control

The boruto novel makes it very clear that while kaguya was preparing for someone’s arrivial, it was likely not momoshiki or kinshiki. This is because of the many questions the two asks throughout the book about kaguya. The book paints the picture of them only being repeated by clan and not much else, they had little knowledge of any of each other.

They can absorb chakra and turn into a replica of the ones who's chakra they absorb. I don't think that they can use the techniques of the ones who's chakra they absorb but they would definitely be buffed by Six Paths chakra if they were to absorb it. That's the only way I see them being useful anyways
