Firstly, I want to say this idea came to me after reading this thread by Sir Blades of Chaos.

EDIT: VIZ scan shows that Hagoromo says "That may not be too far off actually..." in regards to him having an alien relation. He indeed can be of alien relation.

Now let's get started.
In today's chapter (670) we saw Naruto call Hagoromo an alien.

You may say this is comic relief, but reread that panel.
Hagoromo first says "I an alien? Hahaha" :"I guess it makes sense..."
EDIT:
VIZ translation of his words:
CREDIT TO BLINKST for this VIZ translation:
Naruto: "Are you an alien or something?
I mean, you seem super-dignified, but..."

Hagoromo: 'Uh, that's a bit much, doncha think?
An alien? Seriously? Aha ha!
Well, maybe that ain't too far off... So anyway..."

This leads me to think that:
  1. Hagoromo is hiding the fact that he indeed is alien origin
  2. or Hagoromo has some kind of alien connection.

Why?
A few pages later, Naruto asks the origion of Kaguya, his mother.
The Sage merely dismisses it, calling it "irrelevant." But before doing so he states that she came from a "far far away place."

It is a far away place because she is an alien herself!
Does this lady look like a normal woman to you? Of course not.
Now before you say, "maybe it is from her clan's unique abilities".
It could not have been any unique KKG or clan abilities, as all the chakra was still in the Shinjuu at the time.

Extraterrestrial/nonhuman origins
This is where Sir Blades' thread got me thinking.
Kaguya is the name of a princess from the oldest Japanese folklore titled "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter."
Basically a couple finds a child in a bamboo forest and name her Kaguya. Kaguya grows up and it is revealed she is from the "Moon capital" and not a human.
Does this sound like a certain someone to you?
I believe Kaguya may be in fact not human or an alien.
And a thing to note, how is Naruto aware of aliens?

Thank you, Vega

Kishi saw cowboys vs aliens and thought that ninjas vs aliens was a good idea.

So if Kaguya is a space rabbit maybe she followed the shinju tree to Narutoverse world. I could see the shinju seed landing on the planet and blooming into the tree and Kaguya followed it for its powers.

So the next story arc will revolve around Naruto and the gang heading to planet Namek and using the bijuu balls to revive all the dead shinobi.

That is a possibility considering that Gods and Goddesses are actually aliens and not divine Deities.

I was also going to make a thread about this because I found it very interesting how Hagoromo replied to Naruto's questions and how "Alien" like Kaguya seemed even though she hadn't eaten the fruit yet.

I guess that her location doesnt matter because it has nothing to do with the story, where she came from would be a whole nother manga. And wouldn't really be of importance to the purpose of Naruto's role in the shinobi world and more as a thing about humanity in that planet.

I'd actually wager she represents someone from China assuming two things: 1. The Narutoverse represents Japan and 2. Based on her eyes she has Hyuga relations as the Hyuga themselves have a lot of Chinese ties.

1. Twin Lion Fist visually looks like the Guardian Lions at Chinese Shrines.

2. Jyuken is based on Baguazhang (Chinese Martial Art).

3. The constant ties to the Yin-Yang (Taoism: Chinese Origin).

4. The fact the Hyuga act for the better part alienate themselves from Konoha (China existing independently from Japan: Bit of a stretch but ya know )

There are no China or Japan in NV...there are lots of different countries and seas which comprise the NV...so Kaguya is indeed an alien (strongly suggested by her own son)

I actually don't think that she was an alien, but a part of the original species on the planet, and most (if not all) of her people were killed during all the wars going on, so she took it upon herself to rule a greater part of the world with power from the Shinju.

This wouldn't be the first time something like this happened in a shonen, a concept of certain powerful characters on earth that were a part of the planet's "original species" (before humans) has been in Masashi's brother's manga, 666 Satan (they are called Cyclops Men) as well as in Katekyo Hitman Reborn (whatever Kawahira and Uni's race is, I don't think it was actually named).
