Yes Kaguya was irrelevant for 600 plus chapters but do you know who wasn't- the Jyuubi. I always wanted the Jyuubi to be an evil and sinister final villain and Kaguya is like an even more badass form of the Jyuubi. She simply takes the Jyuubi's form to a whole new level and currently the best thing that could have happened to the manga.
