" I want to protect this world, not destroy it! "

There are many questions regarding the new villain in the story, Kaguya. But the most important and most asked question is just who or what she is. She certainly cannot be a mere human, she has to be something else and another thing that the fans ask themselves are why she wants an army and why she absorbed all of the chakra from everyone caught under the Mugen Tsukuyomi. I am here today to share one possible reason for this scenarios and a little bit about just who this mysterious goddess, Kaguya is. So lets begin.

The Juubi & Origin
First of all, what is the Juubi and where did it come from? It was said that the Juubi was a demon created as a result of Kaguya eating the fruit and the Shinju wanting its chakra back. However, if this was the case then wouldn't the Juubi become a creature as soon as Kaguya ate the fruit? We have seen that Hagoromo and Hamura fighting the Juubi and Hagoromo stated that it was to make up for the sins of their mother. But why didn't Kaguya defeat the Juubi if she was so powerful? I would assume that she never fought it because she was already gone from the world in a manner, but she wasn't dead. No, she just did something else. She fused together with the Shinju, in a try to obtain more power and to further her final goal. But why would she need more power, and what is her final goal? Originally we thought that her final goal was the Mugen Tsukuyomi, but that has been shown wrong. No, she wanted to activate the Mugen Tsukuyomi in order to make the world's people into White Zetsus and gain all their chakra for herself. She stated that her reason for doing this was because she needed an army of Zetsus for something. But more on that later, now back to the Juubi.

I said she fused together with Shinju in order to obtain more power to further her goal. But why would the Juubi appear as a following? You see, both Kaguya and Juubi has goals that are alike each other. They both wanted to take the chakra of the people and return it to the Shinju. Kaguya may have become the Juubi shortly after fusing with the Shinju and tried to take back the chakra in the world from every human in order to later make them into Zetsus. This was her goal, but she was stopped by her sons.

Gedo Mazou & Origin
What is the Gedo Statue? Where did it come from and what purpose does it serve other than as a container? Well, honestly I believe that it is nothing more than a container, but where it came from is something I have a different view on that what I have seen other people state. It was stated that Hagoromo sealed away the statue as he was unable to destroy it, yet we saw Kakashi cut the statue's arm off using Kamui. Surely, Hagoromo holds the same amount if not more power than Kakashi's Kamui, right? Then why weren't he able to destroy it even when he had the power to do so? I believe that his power wasn't the problem, but rather that his emotional state was the problem. You see we know two things for certain regarding the fight between the brothers and the Juubi. The first being that the Juubi was sealed within Hagoromo, and we also know that Hamura, his brother died during this battle. But how he died, we don't know. I believe that Hamura died to seal the Juubi away as they couldn't just seal it as it was directly into a human body. They needed a catalyst, a container to place it within before sealing it away for good. I think that it is possible that Hamura gave his life in order to become this container, gave his life to become the Gedo Mazou Statue or a more pure form of it that was later corrupted after having the Juubi sealed within him.

This explains why Hagoromo was unable to destroy it. It was not because of his lack in power, but rather because he couldn't bring himself to kill off his brother no matter the cost it would come at. In the same manner that Naruto cannot bring himself to kill Sasuke even if the world depended on it. (Hamura was most likely the older brother, as he used a sword in combat like Indra and Sasuke does and both of those are the older of their counterparts.)

Hyuuga & Kaguya Clans
I also believe that Kaguya is connected to at least two clans, these two being the Hyuuga and Kaguya clans. The reason I think that she is connected to the Hyuuga is how secretive the Hyuuga are and how the main branch are treated with loyalty, to the point where nothing is more important than the survival of their heir. Same as one would do with a royal family and the heir to their throne, note that Kaguya herself was noted to be like a goddess or a princess in many ways. The next clan I think she is connected with is the Kaguya clan, the name being one of the reasons but more important its the mark and abilities of the Kaguya clan that makes me think of the connection. You see, the Kaguya clan's mark are two red dots placed above the eyes of the clan members. Seen on Kimmimaro and Kaguya also carries the same marks. The next reason is that certain members of the Kaguya clan has a very unique ability, the Shikotsumyaku Kekkai Genkai. The people who holds this ability was also noted to have a very unique body in many ways. (Kimmimaro also resembles Kaguya in several ways.) We know that Kaguya has a unique body from her horns which may hint towards her having the same unique body as those with the Shikotsumyaku Kekkai Genkai.

However, these are just guesses and ideas based of what we've gotten thus far. I won't state them as proof, as they are not. You are free to disagree or agree with me on them, but this is my idea based of the information I currently hold.

Kaguya's End Goal
What is her goal? Why does she need an army and why does she need Zetsus and not just regular humans? We know that Kaguya appeared from nowhere in the goal to eat the fruit and obtain power, but power for what? Surely she cannot just be power hungry as she seems to care deeply about the world and how it is. We also know that she isn't aiming for peace as she would already have obtained that through Mugen Tsukuyomi, meaning she must have another goal in mind. I believe that she is preparing for a war against something or someone. But it cannot be someone who is going to attack, because if it was then they would already have attacked, no it has to be someone she is planning on attacking. I think Kaguya is aiming to launch an attack on the realm of the Gods or maybe the afterlife to gain something she wants. It may be that she sees this as her destiny, which would give another link to the Hyuuga and their teaching of destinies. But why can't she just use regular humans instead of Zetsus? You see, I believe she tried this first but in the end failed as humans cannot cooperate and she couldn't use them for war if they were caught under Mugen Tsukuyomi. She originally came from somewhere to gain power from the Shinju and rule over the people of the world and lead them into a war she wants to start, but in the end she failed and people starting fearing her instead of adoring her. Making building an efficient army impossible for her, so she made a plan to make every human into Zetsus that would follow her every command without hesitation.

She also claims that the earth is "a earth" by saying that "this earth is.." instead of stating that Earth simply is her nursery, she states that "this Earth" is. Meaning that she most likely has another place in mind, another plane or another planet. Black Zetsu also stated that he was the very nature, the very country and the very land which they stood upon. This may be what Kaguya has become, she may be one with the world and nature but not the people. That is why she is creating them into Zetsus, to "become one" with them in a way as Zetsus are more of nature than human.

This was a well thought out thread. Good job on that. I also see this as a very plausible theory. This could (hopefully not) lead into another arc or series. Anyways.. Good thread. :yay:
