Just some interesting info that I would like to share:

1.) Kaguya's Origin:
I checked for more background on Kaguya (Hagoromo's mother). Her name comes from an ancient Japanese tale about a princess that came from the moon, and was found as an infant by a bamboo cutter when he cut open a glowing bamboo stalk. Kaguya lives with an emperor for some time, but eventually returns to the moon after a group of "heavenly beings" arrive to take her back.

2.) Kaguya's Horns:
"The horn-like tufts of Hagoromo's hair may in fact symbolise rabbit ears, representing his connection to the moon by evoking the moon rabbit; pop culture depictions of Princess Kaguya and the moon-folk often incorporate features like rabbit ears for this reason." -Narutobase

3.) Immortality Possibility: In #2 (above), the "moon rabbit" is mentioned. I looked up some info on the moon rabbit and it seems like it is a very popular story from many different cultures. In Chinese tales, the moon rabbit makes elixirs of immortality, and in the Japanese tale of Kaguya (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter), the emperor that Kaguya stays with destroys the Elixir of Immortality after she returns to the moon.

4.) My thoughts:
- Her "rabbit ears", the fact that she visited from far way, and her origin story about the moon seems a little too convenient since Hagomoro "created the moon". I have a feeling she might be an alien :eww:.

5.) Discuss xd. Does any of this info give you any ideas? What do you think?

2, both minato and hiruzen must conjure it for it to appear, which means, it's NOT A jutsu, The reaper IS a literal being and the jutsu is it's ritual

3. The shiki of naruto POSSESS people and animals, in this case a bijuu

mindblown??? It's pretty clear the shinigami of naruto isn't really a shinigami but a shiki

Sorry I might need you to explain a little more for me. I don't understand how RDS relates to Kaguya. Are you saying that she turned into a shikigami? I agree that the horns might play a part in that, however there are many mythological beings in Japanse lore that have horns.

EDIT: I just saw SirDerpObito's theory on this. Seems like a really cool idea wit some good observations. My only concern is the difference in the horns.

I thought the same....she comes from an alien race which saw how lost the ppl of earth were and gave earth the Tree. When humans chose to worship rather than embrace the power...she became frustrated, went down and showed them the way things were meant to be. Just a guess.....but I truly believe she's from an alien race.

I am starting to lean towards her being an alien as well. The fact her origin story and so much related lore has to do with the moon and the heavens (space) makes her seem from another world.

Wow, that reminds me of the game "Okami". That pretty much exact story was present there, but I never made the connection to Naruto when it was mentioned the sage's mothers name was Kaguya...

It really seems Kaguya is an alien, with Hagoromo saying she came from far away and his replie to Naruto that calling him an alien "makes sense though"...

What you just describe is a Shinigami, a shikigami wasn't a death god a shinigami is and a shinigami was said to be said a tired to the summoners soul and after it kills who the summoner wants it consumes the summons soul.

All of the Hyuuga names are celestial references (Hinata means: "A place in the Sun" - with the Yin and Yang theme of Naruto and Hinata, Naruto being Yang, Hinata being Yin...)

The Hyuuga are themed heavily off of Taoism. Taoism draws heavily from celestial references (many would say the origins of astrology can be found there). In fact Taoism was, in its day, -the- scientific model of the universe. A Taoist master was said to possess immense but subtle power.

Kaguya's "demonic" reference embodies the Uzumaki and their culture (which was known for being almost savage and for their use of masks and ceremonial practices).

I've never played that game but i've heard great things about it. Would you mind sharing what Kaguya is like in the game? Maybe it can shed some more light on what we will see .

I honestly feel the same way, however due to Kishi's random writing lately it's hard to know what he'll do lol. He might be one of those writers who wants to throw in a gigantic twist at the end, regardless if it's a good choice or not. :eww:

Hmmm someone from another dimension would be kinda cool. It wouldn't have to be too heavily explained by Kishi and it would be an interesting way to explain why Kaugya seems like she's from another world.
