Is it possible that Hagoromo and his brother Killed/Sealed their mother? Kaguya Ōtsutsuki‎‎ ate the fruit and became immortal. My theory is that she like Madra became one with the tree. That’s why her image is being shown casting IT over the world. If she was in fact immortal and all powerful it would be assumed that the only individuals with the power to defeat her would be her own children.

Now with that said. Is it possible that after Indra soul left Mardra that Kaguya soul/chara entered? Is this why after so many years of non-interference of the shinobi -world that Hagoromo felt the need to interfere? It ‘s been shown with the Hashirama, Madra, Sasuke and Naruto that the vessel being possessed has an un-controllable urge to carry out the will of his possessor. So is Kaguya controlling Mardra’s actions? Just a thought.
