After reading on the hottest threads about Kimimaro being able to beat the Six paths of Pein, I decided to make a thread myself about Kimimaro from my point of view, including a factfile of him.
First things for some background of Kimimaro,
Kaguya Kimimaro is of course from the Kaguya clan, a war hungry clan known for their seemingly never ending lust for battle and war with other clans, this ending up being their ultimate weakness, as they were all obliterated at another clan's hand.
Kimimaro according to Orochimaru gained all of his clan's abilities, and during a few flashbacks we saw that his clan feared him, and revered him as their ultimate weapon from a very early age. Before contracting his terminal illness Orochimaru preferred Kimimaro as his perfect vessel, which tells us how much Orochimaru thought of Kimi.
Sometime during his early teens (probably) he contracted a terminal illness, I personally have no idea where it's from nor if it's a clan type illness, but it was uncurable due to Kabuto having no knowledge of his clan records to aid him develop a cure. It's unclear to me when exactly he contracted this illness but it left him physically weak, and coughing up blood.
Kimimaro's abilities
Along with his bloodline limit - Shikotsumyaku, which allowed the user to manipulate not only the skeletal system within themselves but to manipulate the minerals used inside of it increasing density, flexibility as well as shape. He himself stats that his bones are stronger than tempered steel, which to me would be similar level to Iron Sand. He also has his cursed seal mark and if you want to consider it, his prowess at taijutsu.
With his bloodlimit (Shikotsumyaku) he has 5 known dances ;
Dance of the Willows
Yanagi no Mai.
Dance of the Camellia
Tsubaki no Mai
Dance of the Larch
Karamatsu no Mai
Dance of the Seelding Ferns
Sawarabi no Mai
Dance of the Clematis
Tessenka no Mai
As for feats I don't remember much to go by but I do know he has been in quite a few wars, he's single-handedly beaten the sound four and is the strongest of them all, he was known as orochimaru's perfect vessel before his illness, he beaten the hundreds of naruto clones infused with the Kyuubi's chakra single-handed which shows incredible taijutsu skill reflexes and so forth, he then proceeded to fight with rocklee(drunk) and then gaara and rock lee and imo didn't lose to any of them which again shows great stamina. He did all this with a sick body that was unable to move, but he got up and fought these battles through sheer determination alone, in my personal opinion his body for far from his peak, and so these feats are very impressive.
Long story short, in the first naruto series he was by far one of the strongest and was arguably killed to make way for sasuke's defection from konoha. He was far stronger than most if not all of the kids in series one, and still would have proceeded to become stronger if he lived til Naruto Shippuden. In my personal opinion he is quite easily A rank ninja, and if he wasn't dying and lived to Naruto Shippuden I think he would have quite easily have been S rank, as there are quite a few S ranks I believe he can beat.
Thankyou for reading, please leave your thoughts on whether you agree or disagree, and sorry for the elongated post!
