Kaguya is trying to rescue her husband.
The story began when Kaguya who was once known as a princess in the spirit world was forced into marriage to someone she didn't love, so kaguya and her secret lover ran and tried to hide on earth. As she was on earth she came upon the tree which was baring a fruit, she ate the fruit resulting in the spirit world guards to find her and to get angry as the fruit she ate had power to destroy and create everything. As she was a royal she was not harmed but her lover was taken away.
Kaguya's father banished her on earth for her punishment for eating the fruit as-well as running away, not knowing she was pregnant she brought up her children on earth and eventually fell in love with it. As she gave birth to her children, her resolve to bring back her lover to see her children became stronger but it didn't last long and anger took over, once she found out he was executed. Then she began to become like god figure , hoping to make the people on earth her army to take down the people in the spirit world.
