Hola, Been a while since I made a thread but this recent chapter has really got me thinking about who kaguya really is and what information the sage left out during the talk with Sasuke and Naruto.
After reading this chapter I went back and looked at all references Kaguya and how she was portrayed in the manga. And I think I've come up with a possible theory. Yes, like many people I have made the conclusion that she in fact IS the tree itself. However, I think it is worth us looking deeply into what the manga has said and how this relates to current events.
Lets start at the beginning. I think it is very clear and still undisputed that Kaguya IS the sage and his brothers mom. And I also think the fact remains that she was originally NOT the tree, and yet sought out it's power.
I think she ate the fruit, gained enormous power, but her lust for power was too much and was never satisfied. (like Madara) She didn't just want the fruit, she wanted the whole thing. She then absorbed the entire tree, fusing with it. THIS is why she was so feared, not because she ate the fruit but because she became the host for the entire tree. This power overtook her and she dominated the world with fear and power. That power bred hatred, and hatred started wars. Thus the two sons, in order to maintain peace (and atone for the sins of their mother), confronted her. She went on a rampage not wanting to relinquish her power and the two sons defeated her and sealed her away forever. Instead of keeping that power in one person, the sage eventually split it up so this tragedy would never happen again. Therefore the "eye" of the Juubi is actually the eye of Kaguya. Not the other way around.
Kaguya spoke to Madara, and told him to absorb her. I think she will eventually overpower Madara, get loose and become the final villian. This entire "Juubi" saga has really been to re-awaken Kaguya.
We will then have a full repeat of the final battle between the sage, his brother vs. Kaguya. Naruto, Sasuke vs. Kaguya.
Thoughts?
