Byakugan looks like the moon.

Perhaps Kaguya's ultimate Byakugan allows her to channel her IT to all the people.


The moon reflects IT. The moon basically acts as an eye.

But Kaguya's Byakugan can see all. It is symbolic for the moon since it is blank white like the moon.

The moon sees all since it is so large and over the earth. Her byakugan is a represntation of this.


Through that she can influence the world.


Her last name is Ototsuki. It contains "Tsuki". But there was no moon at the time. Perhaps "Tsuki" refers to the power of her byakugan. Like they are mini moons.

As an aside, I believe that Kaguya didn't have two purple Rinnegan because her one eyed Rinnegan is the highest pinnacle of dojutsu. It's like the three Rinnegan set fused into one.
