And long before we saw a picture of Kaguya:

Note that the power Kaguya used was not ninjutsu.

Ninjutsu was later developed by the Sage.

The Hyuuga are not known to use any form of ninjutsu - their techniques are completely their own.

I suspect there is a link, here. If the Byakugan has a heightened state, it would be something akin to the "Eye of Destiny" or a similarly Taoist-themed eye.

Consider how the Hyuuga can, normally, manipulate the chakra flow of their opponent. Now, imagine a Hyuuga capable of manipulating the flow of nature energy in a manner similar to a "Sage Mode."

I suspect this will be incorporated into the story at some point. Hinata will obtain the power Kaguya once used to put an end to war to clear the way for a new Sage. Their destiny is a shared one:

Which was derived from:

Just being pithy...

But, really - next we'll find out Kaguya is the Reaper, the Hyuuga are the Moon People (or something), and the Uzumaki were the shamans who tended the God Tree.

I praised you Aim, you did magnificent job with able to come up with the most plausible theory ever, and this completely makes people look really stupid claiming the Hyuga being `fodder``

The only thing that interest me is the Hyuga's having the powers of Kayuga is gonna make Sakura fans go even more batshit crazy.

Okay, it's not the only thing, but it's gonna be fun to watch the two fan bases fight more throughout this week, and happier that the Hinata fan base has some higher ground on Sakura fans.

Fits in well with:

Kaguya seems to have fancied one of the shamans tending the tree from which she ate.

We called the general relationship between the Hyuuga and Uzumaki -way- back. Though, to be fair... it's not like there were a whole lot of other options to try.

I didn't exactly expect her "Third Eye" to be the nine-tomoe sharingan, though. That was a little different - bit I suppose I should have seen that one coming.

But that does bring up:

You mean anti hinata ? I am both sakura fan and hinata fan .It was obvious that kaguya eyes were byakugan from the previous chapter ,:| I dont see how this is bad for sakura or good for hinata though (hinata is still at the same power level as before)

Ps:

Both sakura ,kagyua ,and the sage share the pink hair,Yayy for sakura fans !

Hinata doesn't exactly need a power up. That's kind of the beauty of the Hyuuga's ability.

They can close your chakra points no matter how big and bad you think you are. That's the very crux of Taoist philosophy - turning your opponent's power against them.

If you consider that a Hyuuga can affect the flow of chakra... and that a Sage can absorb nature chakra... A Hyuuga that can move ambient nature chakra without having to absorb it, first... or who can manipulate the projected chakra of constructs like Susano'o....

Doesn't need to be very powerful to throw a serious monkey wrench into works of the ninjutsu powerhouses battling it out right now.

As far as "good for Hinata"

It's really very simple. This verified the Hyuuga's overall importance to the storyline. Running with the theme of incarnations and what-not...

Hinata's destiny is entwined with Naruto. However important Naruto is about to become to the plot - Hinata's role will ascend alongside his (even if it gets less panel time).

Doesn't really change things besides speculation on lineage for the Hyugas. My point mainly was that there were dozens of threads or post in the past week of Hinata vs. Sakura and theories that Sakura would get Kayuga's powers or whatever since Naruto and Sasuke were the reincarnations of the Sage's sons. I think I just get annoyed with the crazy Sakura fans. Actually almost any extremist fan...

The discussion was in regards to the Byakguan being an incomplete Dojutsu. The link you omitted was to a more extensive theory linking the Hyuuga to Kaguya through Taoist philosophies and manga theories (though even at the time I was not bold enough to suggest Kaguya, herself, had -THE- Byakugan - that was before we had pictures of her with the 'empty' eyes). If you look at some of my older material, I had been calling for the hereditary origins of the Byakugan long, long ago. Though I, admittedly, never caught on to the Princess Kaguya references (that I probably should have).

This isn't just one theory I have. It's a whole network of supporting theories. The hereditary importance of the byakugan lay at the center of all of them, as the Byakugan is the embodiment of TaiJi within Taoism. Had Kaguya turned out to be unrelated to the Byakugan - it sunk everything. Kaguya not just being related to the Byakugan - but having -THE- Byakugan sets the stage for everything else I've been talking about and predicting.

Kaguya, herself, was a recent x-factor that I hadn't accounted for in earlier theories - and while I was quite confident she would turn out to have something related to the Byakugan... it was imperative that she did for anything to have relevance.
