but i don't see a reason for her to have it. wouldn't it just be a decoration on her? at this point she and later her sons are the only ones with a chakra system...so the ability to see the chakra system is pointless(though the teloscopic vision would be a plus) also for the same reason there would be no point for gentle fist. (only rotation would be useful) but it's a theory that can't be denied with certainy, no matter what fans want kishi is going to do things his way.

My personal theory for hyuuga is that there was a path of regression down the line of Indra's descendents and then evolution...like this

and perhaps Hyuuga's superiority complex got ruffled during their era(They thought that there was nothing superior to Byakugan) when a member gained the power to awaken the sharingan...or even imagine what would happen to a child born in the hyuuga clan with black 'normal eyes'(I can see them sneering derisive comments about such an 'Inferior' hyuuga then labeling that 'Inferior hyuuga's awakened Sharingan as just a 'Mutation' that paled to the 'superior' white eyes)...somehow that member split from the clan, stealing the Tablet that the hyuuga could no longer read, and started the Uchiha...then many generations latter the path of evolving the bloodline back to it's former glory continued with Madara and Izuna perhaps being the direct/indirect cause of their fathers death.

Either this or the Hyuuga clan were some lying B*tches who spread rumors and used propaganda to try to gain political power.

1) Sakura is def more important in the manga than any of the Hyuga.
2) Neither of them probably have anything to do with Kaguya.
3) NaruHina is not canon. And the volume cover is not proof of canon.

There is a reason the Hyuuga do not use Ninjutsu, but instead rely upon the Gentle Fist technique. The Hyuuga are direct descendants from the Moon Rabbit. Perhaps their power is muted somewhat compared to the raw ability of Kaguya, but they are the descendants of Kaguya (or Kaguya's people).

The power attained by Kaguya upon consuming the fruit is literally god-like when combined with the powers of the Byakugan. Forget ninjutsu and ninshuu - she controlled the raw fabric of the universe.

But her acquiring and use of that power was out of alignment with the Tao.

A Hyuuga must consume the fruit of the God Tree not because she chooses to use that power, but because it is her destiny to use that power. This is a part of the Wei Wu Wei paradox within Taoism. Hinata and Naruto share the same destiny, just as Neji said - just as Neji's destiny was to die to protect the Head Branch.

Honestly, I wish I would have been more versed in Japanese mythology. I should have seen the moon-goddess references back in the beginning of the series (hell - there was a Sesame Street movie about the Moon Goddess).
