There has been a theory about Sasuke's Kagutsuchi being his right eye technique which is quite false. And I here present the reason.

Kagutsuchi is a Amaterasu move, and for it to happen Amaterasu is first needed. Amaterasu is the name of the black flames that are brought up by Sasuke's left eye, hence their name ' Black flames of Amaterasu'. Now since Amaterasu is used from the left eye, which means Sasuke's right manipulates the flame , hence making the technique Kagutsuchi.

Requirements for Susano'o as stated by the Databook are : Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu.

It is literally IMPOSSIBLE for Kagutsuchi to be Sasuke's right eye technique. Since it is originally brought up by the left eye. Therefore it is not a original technique granted by the sharingan, but just something Sasuke learned to use.

Manga proof:

Here you can see Sasuke holding is left eye, because of releasing Amaterasu.

Right there he uses the RIGHT EYE to perform Kagutsuchi, aka Manipulating the Amaterasu already there.

Now here you see sasuke casting a genjutsu from his right eye... Only genjutsu we know casted by the right eye MS is Tsukuyomi , Many will say there are other uchiha genjutsus .. but please name them. :

RESOLVE:

Kagutsuchi is just the manipulation of the Amaterasu flames already brought up by the left eye. It is not a unique technique (different technique) granted by the right eye of Sasuke's. But Sasuke manipulating the flames with his right eye. So therefore, he has Tsukuyomi as his right eye technique and Amaterasu as his left eye Technique.

Kagutsuchi = Technique granted by Amaterasu.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hm im not sure to be honest. Blaze release is supposedly a kekkei genkai that only he has. Im not sure anyone with amaterasu is capable of doing what he does with it

I believe it was noted that Sasuke was particularly proficient with his use of Amaterasu (owing to the Blaze Release) while Itachi was proficient with Tsukuyomi. Note that Danzo was under-impressed by Sasuke's use of tsukuyomi.

Kamui was something unique-ish to Obito (though apparently it existed in part or whole in both eyes), and Shisui had... I forget what it was called - but the ability to implant a complete and permanent hypnotic suggestion.

There would appear to be a degree of variance among those who acquire the Mangekyo Sharingan.

he used a sharingan genjutsu out of his right eye but it wasn't tsukuyomi

and itachi could stop amaterasu

atsui said that sasuke was better at amaterasu than sasuke
and danzo said that itachi was better at amaterasu
if itachi was better at manipulating amaterasu it might be kagatsuchi
and if sasuke was better at his genjutsu it would be tsukuyomi

I believe the tsukyomi sasuke has is a weak form and very underdeveloped (but he still has it nonetheless). His amaterasu on the other hand is greatly encanced due to his advanced kekkei genkai of fire/lightning in which he uses to manipulate his amaterasu creating "enton". The manipulation itself is kagutsuchi and is only available to him because of his fire/lighning affinities. Itachi could only cast and extinguish ama, meaning he didnt have kagutsuchi but he did have tsukyomi and ama, hence his susanoo. So yeah in short, i agree

Agreed! And if you notice, while Sasuke is manipulating the flame, his left eye is covered. I think this is very interesting indeed. I can't recall ANY MS tech that can be used while the applicable eye is covered...other than KA.

quoting blinkst's work

We know that with his Kaleidoscope Sharingan, Sasuke can freely modify the chakra form of the flames of Amaterasu. People assume the power that grants this ability, is Enton: Kagu-tsuchi. However, I believe this is incorrect. I believe Sasuke can in reality, perform two main modifications, and Enton: Kagu-tsuchi is not the power that allows these modifications, but rather, the result of one of these modifications.

To start with, the word "En" (็‚Ž) has been used several times to describe Amaterasu; Amaterasu is consistently described as flames rather than fire (็ซ). Thus logically, "Enton" would mean "Flame release". However, it more accurately means Blaze release.

Reason being, if you look up the definition of "Blaze":

The term "Blaze" can refer to shooting steadily. Thus, the first of these modifications, Enton, refers to using an existing flame of Amaterasu to birth new flames as projectiles. You guessed it: Sasuke never used Amaterasu on Gaara. He used an Enton: he shot a flame towards him out of that flame hovering over his head.

It seems much clearer what happened in hindsight. You can quite literally say Sasuke "blazed away" at Zetsu.

Shooting steadily, like with a gun. The second modification he can perform, is to freely modify the chakra structure of the flames to create an ocular jutsu known as Enton: Kagu-tsuchi. This is the one that turns the flames into a stabbing/cutting weapon, which we saw as the spikes, arrow that stabbed white Zetsu, and the sword that cut through Kidomaru's web. Again, Enton: Kagu-tsuchi is the result of one of Sasuke's modifications, not the catalyst of that result.

People assume the term "Enton" has to do with some kind of elemental change, but it doesn't. Amaterasu is just an incredibly powerful Katon. If you were to for example, refer to Enton: Kagu-tsuchi as an Enton, you'd be wrong. Enton is not an actual element. It's more like a style of attacking. The two use the same flames as a base, but aren't the same things.

Amaterasu: Creates the flames
Enton: Use of an existing flame to birth new flames as projectiles
Enton: Kagu-tsuchi: Use of an existing flame as a sharp object

Of course, you know this thread wouldn't be complete without quizzing which of these two is the ocular jutsu of Sasuke's right eye. The answer is simple: It's neither. Enton and Enton: Kagu-tsuchi are modifications, and neither of them can actually be picked as the ocular power responsible for those modifications. It's nameless. Sasuke's "built-in" ocular jutsu of his right eye is still Tsukuyomi.
