I feel kishi did this to silence all the hokage bashers and show them just how and why they were hokage. U got 4 generations. One master healer one st Edo creator one master of 4 elements and apeking and finally one genius with unmatched speed and intelligence. Just watch the power of all 4 kage. In my mind they were the 4 strongest and most renown kage to live plus ..madara has hashi oro has tobirama minato obito and naruto sasuke...then they'll all together destroy the juubi by st it with kakashi minato and tobirama techs ...that's just my opinion
