i dont think he does feel the pain, the clone itself becomes a seperate entity and the only thing returned is the knowledge and nature chakra it would seem, the amount of times naruto clones pop like bloons so to speak would make naruto incredibly damaged if he recieved the pain aswell

well instead of "every hit" naruto feels the exhaustion and pain that's why

No jutsu against kage Bunshin can damage the original user it is just a chakra drainer jutsu cause your splitting chakra not urself.

naruto suffers from overload of information if he makes too many clones but they still do get information and if they disperse with genjutsu, every time they got spooked they should disperse
