Why was he introduced to the story?

Was he only meant to be put in so people would make theories that Tobi was Kagami?
I remember before we learned about Obito that there were quite a few people using the Kagami theory.

So now was he just some random Uchiha that was on the same squad as Danzo and Hiruzen with Tobirama as the leader?

It was common for atleast 1 Uchiha to be in as many teams as possible because of their sight abilities, he was just an Uchiha that Kishi made to put on Hiruzen's team to show it was a balanced team.

Some how he has a fully developed body when he's younger than Kakashi, and somehow despite being a flunky like Naruto, he has a huge expertise in surgery.

Is that a joke? We all know how he live MADARA with a ton of plot holes. If it was Kagami things like him getting tobirama's DNA gave him rinnegan we get to see Tobirama's S/T jutsu + more jutsu and Tobirama vs the elite ninjas. Kagami faking his death and tricking his old team mates Danzo and the 3rd hokage after he met Madara and started planning. This is much better than Obito and his boring surviving story that anyone and everyone could have thought of.:sy:
