Now today I was imagining Naruto as a swordsman with a special blade like the Kiri no Shinobigatana Nananin Shū, because in my spare time I like to imagine what Naruto would be like with different abilities/skill sets. And my attention was brought to Kabutowari (literally meaning 'Helmet Splitter'), and I wondered what it's special ability was (e.g Samehada eating chakra, Kubikiribōchō using the iron in an enemys blood to repair itself e.t.c.). Because all Kabutowari was, was an oversized mallet attached to an axe head by some rope. Nothing special, until I read that it was supposed to break through all defences.
Then I thought, could Kabutowari's mallet mayhave the ability to produce shockwaves/seismic waves on impact? It also says that when it reaches a tough defence the hammer hits the axe to break it. Maybe Kabutowari's mallet merely releases a shock wave on contact with the axe, propelling it forward with great speed giving it immense piercing power. Now this is merely an unproved theory. It just struck me that all the seven swords were supposed to have special abilities and Kabutowari didn't have one. What do you guys think?
