Kabuto's Snake

There has been a lot of speculation about the snake that is attached to Kabuto's body. Some think:

-It is Orochimaru (LoooooL I 'highly' doubt that, but I guess it's possible)
-Some say that it increases his sensory abilities.
-Some say that it is just the side effects that Orochimaru's DNA had on him

However I have a theory that I haven't seen anyone state so far. If it has already been said somewhere else I haven't seen it so I apologies in advance.

Theory
Just like how Jiraiya had the two toads to gather natural energy continually during battle. So also, Kabuto uses the snake that is attached to him, to continually gather natural energy, giving him a never ending supply.

& while I'm on the subject, I also think that Kabuto's Sage mode is imperfect/incomplete. This is because of the horns he gained when he transformed. I believe this is similar to the side effects that Jiraiya had (spots/moles) when he performed his incomplete/imperfect version of the Sage mode, but because Kabuto was trained by Sage Snakes his side effects gave him horns.

Kabuto is the 1st person with a complete Sage-mode that we know of

since wen do sankes have horns i like the part about the horn side affects but i dont think the snake is gathering nature energy i think he jus uses it to fight

Since when do frogs turn to stone? Even if the side effects of gathering natural energy are that you could turn into a frog, why then would you turn to stone? It is a side effect so it doesn't matter that it's horns because if you look at either side effect, neither of them makes much sense through the eyes of basic logic :/

Whether he is a complete or incomplete sage, no one can tell the snake sage thing is still pretty up in the air.

I would say that it may serve many functions. The snake may well absorb natural chakra for him, but why than would he need Juugo's cells? Not knocking your theory cos I like it but that is one inconsistency

Actually Naruto transformed into Sage mode without any side effects which means that he has a more complete version, that is basic logic dude and I would even go as far as to say that it's 'FACT' IMO

this was his plan to fight Tobi, Madara or anyone else with a sharingan, who tried to end edo tensai, because he knows that they have to make eye contact for their genjutsu to work no matter how powerful... or so he thought. Also i think its part of Oro too and that when they beat Kabuto they'll weaken him enough that Oro will take over.

Thanks for this. I didn't even think about Juugo's cells tbh but have you considered that Juugo can transform into different forms? I truly believe that Juugo's cells just helped him to acquire Sage Mode. Remember that anyone can gather natural energy but not everyone can control it, hence all of the frog statues on mountwhatever<lol>'frog mount' I think he used Juugo's cells to make weilding natural energy easier. Or else he wouldn't need any training from the Sage Snake

I must admit that what you are saying makes sense but, have you seen the snake that is attached to him fight? I remember seeing Itachi stab it and then it turned to liquid and reformed. I'd also like to add that Ma and Pa frogs both could also speak so it is not inconceivable that Kabuto's snake does communicate with him. I am even sure that he was with him before he went to the Sage snake.

However I highly doubt that it is Orochimaru. Last time I saw him, he was sealed by Itachi :/
