IT doesn't work on Edo Tensei because the light of Tsukuyomi shines upon the impure world. The souls controlling the bodies of those under Edo Tensei are in the Pure World - thus, the soul is unaffected.
Susano'o (God of the Tempestuous Seas), a technique unlocked when Tsukuyomi (The Moon God) and Amaterasu (The Sun Goddess) can be utilized by an Uchiha. It makes sense for it to block the light of Infinite Tsukuyomi - considering it uses the flames of Amaterasu.
It would, also, not surprise me to see that sage mode also allows one to break out of IT. The point of Sage Mode is to embrace the state of non-doing and to be able to connect with the natural flow of the universe. While it may not -block- IT, it would allow the user to break the illusion.
I suspect a similar thing will happen with the Hyuuga. The Byakugan represents the natural insight possessed by Taoist sages. While it may not prevent the initial overtake of IT - it is quite possible that it allows IT to be broken.
Speaking of Kabuto...
This whole scene was pretty damned random:

Kabuto shows up, kills a bunch of Anbu, participates in the destruction of the Leaf... and he just stops along the way to heal Hinata... who has absolutely no reason to suffer from some mysterious damage that leaf medical corps couldn't straighten out just when Naruto appeared to be losing.
Kishimoto has worked in his plot elements poorly... but they aren't random. They've been planned for a long, long time. He's just in a rush to get it all smashed in there before the manga reaches its contracted end. Not to mention the weekly release schedules.
But, yeah - I anticipate Kabuto will make a return. As will a certain Hyuuga.
