Kabuto's look in the Gaiden

Hey guys, I was wondering why does Kabuto still look like Orochimaru, even though he isn't in Sage Mode? After I saw him healing Sasuke in Sage Mode, I thought he's only going to look that way when he's in DSM, but now...

You can see that he was reverted back to his original look when Orochimaru absorbed his chakra from Kabuto's body. So why does he still look like Oro, years after the events of the 4th War? I guess that Kishi forgot about that fact, too...
