Ok, I know that the coffin is much in talk but let's forget it for once and think about Kabuto's final plan which seems to pretty much concern the Sage of 6 Paths.
Ok, I think that Kabuto wants to resurrect the So6P but is havin' complications in doing so. Surely, he tried and failed to do it.
That's why he asked for Sasuke (an uchiha) and Zetsu (contains Senju's cells)!
Perhaps to resurrect the So6P, he'll need a body which contains cells from which the So6P originated.
Now for the DNA part of the Sage which may also be the cause that's preventin' him to resurrect the Sage. I think the 2nd Rinnegan might be the last key. Even if it belonged to nagato (or as Madara states to him...), this dojutsu came from So6P and surely, could contain part of his DNA. The other source where his DNA could come from is from the Tailed Beast.
For me, Kabuto is playin' his cards cunningly but cautiously! The last coffin might be only to make Madara afraid and he knows within him, that it might not be sufficient against Madara and that's why, he needs the So6P.
Firstly, he summoned that coffin and asked for Sasuke. Then, he waited some time and with his promise to increase strength of Zetsus, he could have one Zetsu as per Madara.
I'm sure that Kabuto will make another sort of compromise and asked for the 2nd Rinnegan or Some Tailed-Beast chakras in exchange. He's slowly developpin' a masterplan and is heavily depending on Madara to achieve what he seeks.
If Madara doesn't counteracts before it's too late, I think Kabuto will get the upper hand indefinitely.

Personally I don't think the Sage was in that last coffin but it's a good possibility!!
