Adding to the plethora of Kabuto threads so hear me out.
So obviously I wasn't the only one thinking Kabuto when questioning who the one approaching Sasuke was. I thought maybe I was taking a bit of a leap due to a lack of sleep, but seeing that I wasn't the only one with the thoughts encouraged me. I thought about it, and a lot really would tie into it. Leaving a character in the dust seems a bit.. Undeserving, even for Kabuto. (Then again there's Yamato)
Kabuto is just the only one that makes sense. I did not even think twice when I read the ending.
Think about it. He never died, he was just trapped in Izanami. If it's him, hes broken free and "found himself"; perhaps it's simply one last thing Itachi wanted to leave behind for Sasuke. After all, Itachi did say Kabuto reminded him of himself.
Besides, didn't Kabuto want Sasuke? This could either mean good news or bad news for Sasuke, and it's probably the starter since Kabuto seems to have found himself. Besides. Medical ninja.
If it Isn't Taka or anyone else we're aware of being present in getting mopped by Madara then clearly it is someone who hasn't been on the battlefield.
Case and point, dedicating a theory on who it is; it's best to think about what significance they could possibly have to the war, and most importantly Sasuke.
If I'm missing any gratifying points verifying the actuality that it's Kabuto, please add.
Now that's my take on the chapter if you'll excuse me I'm going to take cover from the NaruSakus
edit: Honestly if it's Kabuto he Isn't a threat. Would you really think Itachi would leave such a hazard to Sasuke, behind?
edit dundunduntwo: Side possibility could actually be Yamato if you think about it lmao.. Yamato wood style, Hashirama wood style.. Could there be some sort of correspondence that could involve Sasuke? (More lenient toward a healing possibility)
