Well since Kishi already threw the best character in the show to the side and humiliated him I don't really care what happens. I read a theory that he'd come out changed and rescue Anko and Yamato, to help stop Orochimaru.

I don't really care one way or the other now. Kishimoto ruined him.

Kabuto will return but he will only assist on a small scale to defeat Madara perhaps with some information he had on defeating him or handing over the poison he created to subdue Makuton to the Allied Forces then head out back to the Orphanage to most likely become a care taker.

I was fine with the Backstory- could've been much worse and it didnt explain why Kabuto was so twisted but it worked, it's the pathetic way Itachi took him out that was dumb. After that it doesn't really matter what he does, there's not much redemption to be done.
