it will ultimately be decided in cqc where zabuza will prevail, all the other jutsu will cancel each other out

I don't know an incredible amount on Zabuza, but Hidden Mole Jutsu + Chakra Scalpel paralysis should work.
Unless of course it's a Water Clone.

Zabuza would win high diff. Kabuto should be as versatile as Kakashi, but he doesn't have sharingan. Kakashi with pre-cog could barely keep up with Zabuza inside the mist, Kabuto would get killed.

He can aproach with water clones to counter Kabuto's tricky fighting style. The dead corpses can't sensse nor hear Zabuza inside the mist so they would be standing there as easy targets.

This can go either way. super yang summed up the battle scenarios. Though I think the Doton: Mole vs Hidden Mist scenario is where Kabuto victory works out best.

Kabuto can take advantage of setting up his genjutsu wide field nirvana temple. Layered with the Hidden Mist, Zabuza would most likely not expect it. Unless his eyes are always closed (though I dont think with Manga intel, that wouldnt be a problem).
