Well Amaterasu is not of much use anyway, I think. I assume that sage mode grants the speed and reflexes for Kabuto to avoid it, and he can shed his skin anyway. And White Rage jutsu and Tayuya's genjutsu are quite effective, if there is no Itachi to help.

Amaterasu is very usefull seeing as he needed the cave rocks to help him dodge a Susanoo arrow. Once Amaterasu lands Sasuke proceeds to do this..(
