Now that i think about it, kabuto was foolish in his battle against the uchiha brothers, the only thing he had to do was to release the edo tensei of itachi and it would be a one on one battle with sasuke, once he was finished he could have just found a new sacrifice and edo tensei itachi back. After all what defeated kabuto was his overconfidence.

he had no choice. would you release the jutsu just to defeat one man? releasing the jutsu means calling all of your strongest men off of the battle field during a war. he still would have had to fight sasuke so he would not be able to summon them back right away. he would have been risking alot more releasing edo tensei than fighting two uchihas.

No its not like that. Itachi is still under the contract But the kabuto is not controlling him anymore. Edo contract and Control are two different things.

If kabuto released itachi I think it's safe to say that edo madara would be released as well, because by the looks of it, All the edos share the same contract.

i think if that was true then itachi wouldn't also go when edo tensei got released, he only broke free from kabuto's control, so he couldn't tell itachi wat to do anymore

of course i dont mean releasing all edo because of itachi, but kabuto showed he can summon edo separetely so maybe he could have released just the one of itachi and itachi was an edo even if kabuto released it he would vanish like he did when he made kabuto release it.

itachi was a edo tensei, kabuto could do what the **** he wanted to with itachi and he wouldnt die, kabuto needed to be alive tho.

I've been saying that for a while lol. It was pure plot that he didn't. Think about it, why did Kabuto try so hard to join Obito? He wanted Sasuke's body which was right in front of him. He wasn't invested in the war himself. He could have easily coffined Madara, Chiyo, Kimimaru and the Edo Jinchuurikis that all have Bijuus 2-7 in them and then ended Edo Tensei which takes Itachi out neg diff. If Itachi wasn't under Kabuto's power for ending Edo Tensei then he wouldn't have left but stayed to help stop the "Madara" (Obito).

Kabuto had no reason to undo Edo Tensei, all of his Edo's but the ones I listed were beaten and the Jinchuurikis were beaten by the time Edo ensei got ended but if Kabuto wanted to betray Obito then he would of had the Bijuus recoffined a while ago.

You forgot that sasuke was there and He need sasuke to be alive aswell. If both went all out, sasuke would have been killed
