Only reason he couldn't is because of her breasts, which are made of fat rather than muscle. And this time it's enhanced by SM and Kabuto's massive progression since part 1, so it certainly should penetrate any distance given his growth and the dramatic effect of Senjutsu on any given jutsu.

I think it was said to cause internal damage like it did to Tsuande but even then there's no telling of it will even harm the Third because even his blood is hard to get to.

Well gentle fist isn't the same as chakra scalpel. I know DSM Kabuto's chakra scalpel is far stronger but my point is if chakra scalpel can bypass durability, Tsunade's breasts would have been sliced through cleanly. If we are going by this logic, even PS could get penetrated as far as the range of chakra scalpel is concerned.

He still cut her bicep and abdomen muscles the first time around, and reached her respiratory muscles through her large breasts while holding back. Assume this is part 2 Kabuto without SM and he'd destroy her respiratory system with ease (with intent to kill). Assume this is DSM and he can probably puncture her spine through her breasts. And lol, Chakra scalpel range is not that large. It's largest to date is reaching from him to Sakura [

but she could still move due to her fat breasts. This implies that due to the durability of the fat spreads, the amount of damage done on Tsunade wasn't lessened. Tsunade's breasts wouldn't have an impact on gentle fist so gentle fist's nature of bypassing durability doesn't hold for chakra scalpel.

I know DSM Kabuto would bisect Tsunade with ease but my point was to show you that it doesn't automatically bypass durability. Sandaime is thicker and much tougher regardless.

I know the range of chakra scalpel isn't that large, I'm talking about its ability to breach anything it comes in contact with.
