Like it or not, but Kabuto counters those who have Mokuton and/or Dojutsus and in general the people without Mokuton and/or Dojutsus, dont have what it takes to battle with a sage(which brings a Shinobi on a whole other lvl). That doesnt leave much Shinobi, who stand a chance against Kabuto.

What is Kabuto capable of?

Talented Medical Shinobi.
Kabuto is a talented Medical Shinobi. Even complimented by a Medical genius like Tsunade and he was Orochimaru's right hand man for a reason, because of Kabuto his great medical abilities.
He has great healing power, as shown when he even was capable of healing through Sakura her wounds, caused by Naruto in 4tail form. Kabuto has a high regenerative power as well, as shown in the battle vs Naruto (when Naruto did his first succesful Rasengan).
Kabuto is capable of other great medical techniques involving corpses, when he fooled Kakashi, near Sasuke's hospital bed, or when he almost fooled Yamato, with a dead corpse looking like Sai.

Kabuto can use his medical abilities offensively as well. He can make incredibly long scalpels in battle, that give him a special type of taijutsu. He rarely fights with punches like normal taijutsu, but he fights by cutting for example muscle tissue with his scalpels.
It is sort of a taijutsu form in between normal taijutsu and gentle fist.

He has great knowledge of poison. Allowing him to even create an anti Mokuton poison.
He has incorporated this in his snakes and with no doubt, Manda too.

Snakes:
Kabuto has a contract with the snakes. This allows him to summon all kinds of snakes.
He even rebuilt Manda(after he died in Sasuke vs Deidara) and improved him. Creating Manda version 2.

Sage mode:
He has learned Sage mode from the Great White Sage Snake. Surpassing his master Orochimaru, who couldnt become a true sage, like Kabuto. His Sage mode gives him several abilities.

-His sensing powers and speed increase. Allowing him to sense and dodge all kinds of attacks, even a Susano arrow.
-He can cover his eyes with snake eyelids, relying on his other senses for battle, due to sage mode and how snake can sense through other senses than eyes. This prevents genjutsu attacks that have to make eyecontact, from being useable on Kabuto.
-In sage mode, Kabuto has shown two great jutsus:

A technique that creates harsh sound vibrations and blinds targets. Kabuto is able to endure it, due to being able to cover his eyes and not having to rely on those senses. This way he can handle the blinding light and because he can liquefy his body, he can handle the sound vibrations. This technique even forced Sasuke and Edo Itachi, to cancel Susanoo.

A jutsu that allows Kabuto to control things that have no life functions by gifting them with some of his own life force. This allows him to freely manipulate the substance according to his will. This goes beyond normal manipulation through chakra, meaning that even drastic alterations to the immediate environment can occur both suddenly and unexpectedly, making attacks using this method extremely difficult to avoid even for someone with the Sharingan.

Kabuto has stolen several powers, those of the Sound nins and Taka.

The sound nins:
Jirobo for special earth jutsus
(Kabuto however was already capable of using the earth element, and Kabuto has water in addition to earth).
Kidomaru, for his spider web jutsus.
Tayuya, for her flute sound genjutsu.
Sakon and Ukon for the fusion ability.
Kimimaro for bone jutsus.

Taka:
Uzumaki Karin for her healing power.
Suigetsu for his ability to turn his body into water and back to a human again.
Juugo and his nature power.

Intelligence and knowledge:
Intelligence and knowledge are great tools for battle as well and Kabuto has both.
His intelligence and knowledge has helped him to survive as a spy as well.
Intelligence shown throughout the series in understanding all kinds of abilities and situations and
even figuring out a high class technique like Tsunade

Kabuto is aware of a great amount of abilities of shinobi like Shisui his
Koto amatsukami, Nagato and the Rinegan, he has knowledge of the sage, he knows about several kekkei genkai shinobi and of course Hashirama's flower tree world.
I am aware that lot of Kabuto his knowledge is thanks to Oroa nd his research, but you have to get
your info from somewhere.

Edo tensei:
Everything listed up till now, is still without the use of Edo tensei and without it, it is already quite overwhelming.
Kabuto is the third known Edo tensei user and has surpassed the previous users.
The previous users being Tobirama(the creator of the jutsu) and Orochimaru.
Basically this jutsu massively increases his power which is already easily top 10.

Maybe one weakness:
We know what is happening to Kabuto right now. He is inside Izanami. It is a genjutsu that does not require eye contact and thus had a chance to work on Kabuto. In addition Kabuto lacked knowledge of the ability.
However, what must not be forgotten, is how hard it actually was, to cast this jutsu on Kabuto.
Edo Itachi, would have died several times, if he would not have been an Edo and was almost implanted with an Edo control tag, if it wasnt for Sasuke saving his brother Itachi.
Sasuke would have died several times as well if not saved by Itachi, which Itachi could only do due to being an Edo (like when he got hit himself by

So Izanami can hardly be called a true weakness, if it costs this much trouble to even use it on Kabuto.

I think your right dude! People hate on Kabuto because they're butthurt that he is stronger than most of they're fav characters. It pisses them off more that he hid in the shadows until the perfect time to expose his strength. Kabuto is pretty strong, no doubt about it.

Maybe you should have continued reading :y.
Kabuto his sensory skills and speed are good enough to dodge it or to move on the branches and avoid getting caught.
He has shown to be able to cut Mokuton with his scalpels and in addition, can try to battle the user with his mokuton poison (which can put the user on the defensive/the user has to watch out for losing this main power, all battle). Its not that he disables Mokuton easymode from using Mokuton, but he has great tools vs that kekkei genkai.

Izanami.
It took an EMS Uchiha(Sasuke) and maybe the most talented MS Uchiha(Itachi), in edo form, to get Kabuto in Izanami and if Itachi wouldnt have been edo, they would have died. Who can handle EMS Sasuke + Edo MS Itachi, casting Izanami on you in a 2v1 battle without knowing this ability?
Hardly a weakness imo. Its like saying you lost to the sage of the six paths, its your weakness, yeah who doesnt lose to the sage of the six paths, who doesnt get hit by Izanami from EMS Sasuke + Edo MS Itachi, without knowing about Izanami (even an EMS Uchiha like Sasuke didnt even know about it).

But he can't counter Mokuton in a combat, he can only prevent the user from using his chakra once get caught. He suppressed Yamato's Mokuton through snakes that prevented him to use it.

He's blood group is AB+. he said it himself to Orochimaru when they were moving to their hideout along with Sai and stopped to wash his scalpels on their way. Even Orochimaru was surprised for a while.(you can check it)
And about countering the Izanami, Itachi purposely fought him in such a way that he get caught in the loop. So its up to the user, how he want to manipulate the picture to use the Izanami.

He can try make his snakes bite the user in combat and he might have other ways to poison his target (like breathing in poison clouds and such, but that is assumption).

Yeah Kabuto being AB+ bloodtype is pretty lucky for him, cause he couldnt have stolen all those powers without it.

You are partly right about the loop and itachi purposely fighting Kabuto in a certain way.
Itachi didnt purposely get sliced in half like this though .

Cause if Sasuke didnt save him, Kabuto would have implanted an edo control tag.

There were several moments where Itachi and Sasuke would have died if they didnt save each other and if Itachi was not Edo (which allowed him to get hit and save sasuke).

I kind of like Kabuto, I use him a lot on Naruto Storm G, but he was still put in izanami. Doesn't matter how it happened, Itachi being edo partnered by EMS Sasuke, it still happened. Meaning Madara, who has all said abilities (not sure about izanami, but he's a badass uchiha), could also beat Kabuto, most likely even solo him. Obito used izanagi, so he can maybe use izanami, being equipped with the knowledge he has. Backed up with kamui, he can maybe solo him. I'm like 60% on Obito winning, though. Idk about Naruto himself beating Kabuto, but if Sasuke and Itachi did it, maye Naruto and Uncle B could, who knows. Maybe they'd still need Gai and Kakashi.

Unless you pull a Danzō and implant a bunch of eyes, or just change your eyes like Obito did, but you'd need help.

stop with these god dam threads.

1. Just about all of kabuto's claim to fame is STOLEN and i repeat STOLEN.

2. kabuto cant counter all of mokutun or dojutsu

3. Kabuto doesnt have DSM anymore. so why talk about it like it is still relvent.

4.kabuto doesnt have orochimaru stolen charka, so more than likely he cant even summon a soul.


Kabuto doesnt have Dsm,edos and more you and the rest of the fanclub need to stop with the pointless threads.


He isnt even top 10 anymore, without stolen powers from orochimaru.


As long as oro is still alive kabuto will be in the shadows

1. Stolen still requires more effort than inheriting something from birth.
It requires more effort than having a power implanted or sealed inside you.
So stolen or not, he has it and it counts.

2. As I said, its not like he disables mokuton ezmode, but he has good abilities to handle it. He has counter abilities, but its not like he can just press a button and its done. He still needs to put in effort.
Yes he can counter dojutsus. You cant keep your eyes open vs the white rage technique and no genjutsus that require eye contact will work as long as kabuto his snake eyelids are over his eyes. So during the white rage technique a dojutsu is disabled. I dont assume he can keep it on 24/7, but it is one of the best counters in the series for sure.

3.This is not certain. Oro his body was not good enough for sage mode. He was imperfect. Kabuto reached the perfect state. Kabuto has taken Juugo his blood, which allows him to absorb nature energy and he trained under the white sage snake. Oro just deactivated the sage mode and took his chakra back. For now we cant say for sure if he still has DSM or not.

4. The only info we have on that so far, is that Oro's chakra, made the binding stronger.
It is not known yet if it is required to use Edo tensei at all. Tobirama didnt have any oro chakra and he even created the jutsu.

Tbh, if he doesnt have edo anymore and lost other powers, I would still like the character.
I even did already in Naruto part 1, when he didnt had sage mode and taka + soundnin powers either.

I hope he gets out of Izanami soon and than we can see what the new Kabuto, who has found himself, can do.

It took Itachi pretty damm long to set up Izanami. So long he got killed several times and saved by Sasuke. I think just doing a quick Izanagi isnt enough as a setup.
But whatever, if you want to go blind to beat someone, that seems like a very(to) high price.
Especially if the target gets out(which is possible) and than you are blind and screwed xd.
