this is good thread....kabuto thought himself he was badass...he just wanted to be in that league of badasses villains..but at the ended he ended up being used By orochimaru ,Tobi and Madara....

Well first, he could destroy Madara's personality and assume complete control at any point, so there's that.

Second, it's entirely possible he knew Madara could break out and that it was a backup plan for Kabuto in case he's incapacitated. Look at what he tells Itachi. "If you're too impatient you might be unable to stop things that could be stopped... And cause the opposite to happen." Then it cuts straight to Edo Madara.
