Kabuto was bad ass he seemed INVINVIBLE he built Madara beyond his prime and perfected the Edo Tensei and had Sage Mode which was bad ass. He could control the ground. The only way to beat him was Iznami and he's still stuck in it =/. So basically Kishi showed us all of Kabuto's power and hard work then he's trapped, I can't wait till he gets out. I'm 100% sure he would trash Orchimaru since he doesn't have Iznami. Im sorry im sounding like a Fanboy I dont like Kabuto but on the other hand a amazing power house like Kabuto shouldn't go to waste. Its so sad. Kishi teased us. So sad =[
Atleast he showed some of Kabuto's power unlike the 3rd Kazekage etc MANY MORE like Sage's sons
AGAIN NOT A FANBOY just frustraded but Kishi is a good Author I respect his work he's amazing but somethings I dont agree with/

Maybe he'll go back to being a smart guy instead of an arrogant douche.

He still knows the snake techniques to being able to go into sage dragon mode. That is something HE did himself.

I hope so.

But anyway, @OP I think you're looking at it from the wrong direction. The underlying theme for Itachi vs. Kabuto was "be yourself"; that true power isn't something you obtain from others, but is something that can only be achieved through self-reflection -- by recognizing your own limitations. Then, there's this page:

Totally different situation, but the same idea. Bee's message that a Jinchuuriki isn't strong because s/he is a Jinchuuriki, but that s/he is capable of being a Jinchuuriki because s/he is strong.

OK, so where's this going? Kabuto won't get out of Izanami until he stops relying on others' powers and begins to accept his own inherent powers/limits. Now that Oro has stripped Kabuto of his external powers, Kabuto can't rely on these powers anymore, so he's bound to wake up soon. My guess is he'll emerge from Izanami having had a change of heart. He'll return to the forces of good and will have miraculously gained some sort of miracle power because he has accepted himself.

Cheesy? Absolutely! But this is Naruto we're talking about. I expect nothing less.

I agree that Kabuto will emerge a changed man, and not only because he lost his borrowed powers. But he has gone too deep into evil to get redemption.

He never had a goal beyond his loyalty to Orochimaru and his inferiority complex, that led to his obsessive desire to control people inherently more powerful than himself (the Edo Tensei). On both these counts he lost. Orochimaru came back, drained him and dumped him; and his prize Edo's (Madara and, to a lesser extent, Itachi) broke away.

So I believe that he will channel all that's left of him to wiping away these failures, by killing Orochimaru. It'd be a fitting end for both...

Kabuto's ending is kind of disappointing. I didn't even like Kabuto but I don't like characters getting trashed.

He was top of the world before, a load of edo tensei's under his control. Dsm was handling Itachi and Sasuke up until the point of an Itachi ass pull. You would think Orochimaru would acknowledge his most loyal subordinate when he came back. He took his chakra and moved on with his life, "you fool" would have been okay but not even that.
