I remember seeing that in the manga that he doesn't need oro's chakra

It said you need alot to draw opon natural energy, Juugo and his clan can do that themselves without large chakra and Kabuto use Juugo's dna for dsm. So, since Orochimaru only took his chakra out, Kabuto should still be able to use dsm. Juugo sayng Orochimaru took only his own chakra back is enough proof Kabuto can use dsm.

Kabuto might still have DSM but without Orochimaru's power, it's no way near as powerful anymore. All those DNA additions would probably just wear him down too quickly anyway.
