Yes,Kabuto is now weak,even his precious sage mode is gone,proof?
Before Kabuto became strong,he used oro's Dna,yes?
Oro's DNA changed his physical appearance A lot!!!!
He leaned Dragon sage mode,thanks to oro's DNA,yes?
But how can we identify if he has none of Oro's DNA?,his Skin will revert back to its original form which has no resemblance to his former self having scales,or slitted eyes.
But before kabuto lost his power,he had scaled skin and slitted eyes which he got from Oro's DNA,and he couldn't be distinguished when he is in sage mode?,easy,Orochimaru is AlWAYS in sage mode,that's why he bears a striking resemblance to Snakes,but kabuto took his cells,and changed like him,but kabuto learned and mastered sage mode,that's why he has horns!
So when Orochi touched kabuto,he took his cells back,therefore leading to the release of sage mode.orochi's cells is essential in learning sage mode.
Kabuto can't perform sage mode because he would need oro's cells to even sustain it,
And he can't perform edotensei either because he also needs oro's cell to upgrade it.
Don't quot me wrong,he can Learn sage mode,but he lacks the most essential tool;Oro's cell.
He has the knowledege to performing edotensei,but he also lacks the same essential tool to upgrade it.besides most of his strongest EDO's are sealed up!

Kabuto's body no longer automatically absorbs nature chakra, hence no endless sage mode.

Kabuto no longer uses Oro's techniques.

So, Kabuto is no longer overpowered, but still a pretty decent ninja.

That's why Itachi needed to be an edo and was killed a few times in the process, needed help from Sasuke and required further help from Kishi with an asspull Izanami. I'm sure.

I don't even need to read the thread to tell you that Kabuto is still the second strongest shinobi to ever live under the Sage of Six Paths simply because he has Edo Tensei. Edo Tensei = Edo Madara plus the other 30/40 extremely strong Shinobi he has in his command.

The thing is if obito still has hashi's cells and is using it without any consequence kabuto can do same but we may never know maybe oro's cells where the reason for all his success.meaning DSM,it time limir(limitless),it binding power(the ability to combine more than two power/ability in one body) maybe possible because of oro's cell.
