Kabuto's self proclaimed ingenious war tactic, which was to leave the personality of his Edo's intact so as to have a psychological effect on the army was a huge fail!

The only person it really worked on was Choji, for a short time.

The reason Orochimaru barred the conscience of his Edo's was so that the Hokage wouldnt try and help Hiruzen by giving away their moves before hand. I dont mean their movement, I mean their voices and personality.

This ended up having a humoungous negative effect on the 4th world war for Kabuto. All his victims gave and got help, and in a LOT of cases it actually led to their downfall and sealing. It backfired miserably.

What a complete imbecile who was drunk with power, perfected Edo Tensei my ASS! More like weakened it.

I also thought that he couldn't directly control all of them at once, so he kind of was forced to remain most of their personalities intact because he just had too many summoned at once?

The reason why Orochimaru controlled them completely has already been revealed. It's so they would not break Edo.

That would be the case if it were all edos but its not.Only a handful of edo's spirits were released through resolve. His downfall happened when itachi was released from his control and used izanami on him.The edos were still out there in full force before they were released making this thread very irrelevant

Pretty sure it had something to do with him not being able to completely bind them all at the same time. However, you're right about their personalities being Kabuto's downfall xd

Lol Funny guy, that Kabuto.

That involves movement, not voice and personality, I stated this in my thread.

I didn't say all of them, but a lot of them helped their enemies and were sealed because of it.

It could also be asked why he actually fought Itachi and Sasuke directly instead of just summoning all his edos from the battlefield to fight them for him?

Cuz they were already fighting, and he had no time to unsummon them and summon them again to where he was I guess. Or he wanted to show off his DSM to the Uchiha and show his superiority, lol. Against Itachi? What a moron!

I guess the point your trying to make is that in the few instances where a handful of edos' personalities weren't restrained it eventually backfired your right but compare the number of people who were still restrained and the number of edo's left still fighting to the ratio that were sent to the pure world he still was statistically successful which kind of proves he wasn't a "dullard" as you put it.

How do you know things wouldn't have worked out differently if Itachi didn't keep giving his position away? It could have been over in a second.

I don't follow. How does this regard the previous topic ? I already mentioned that his down fall was itachi.I never said anything to suggest anything differently.I merely pointed out that the edos that did get released back to the pure world was not a majority so i don't see how that translates to him being a "dullard" nobody knew an edo could get released that way until it happened and when it did its not like a majority of the edos left.it was trial and error. thats all.his biggest problem was itachi which did not happen until later.

No I mean, Itachi wouldn't have been released at all if Kabuto had kept Itachi's and Nagato's mouth shut, in which case, he would have been safe.

actually if kabuto had been controlling itachi he probably still would've made him use his mangekyou and activated the KA crow in naruto...
