Too be honest, I wasn't very interested in the War Arc when I first started watching. However, after watching Kabuto's change, and taking on his new appearance and abilities it was great. Although at first I ignored it and thought it was sort of cool. Now I'm really enjoying what Kabuto achieved.

After reading the Naruto wiki, it seems Kabuto had gained access to an incredible new assortment of abilities and techniques, such as the Summoning: Pure World Incarnation? I believe its called.
He also was able to use Juugo's DNA to constantly absorb Nature energy and become Sage Mode indefinably.
If you want to see what else he learned, be sure to check out the Naruto Wiki :yeah:

Spoilers ahead, don't read if you are an Anime only viewer!
Anyway on to the point. The sheer impact Kabuto had on the War was amazing. Surpassing even Orochimaru.
I do not read much of the manga, so I don't know a lot about this specific fight.
However I read that Kabuto was even able to hold off Sasuke and Itachi, and his speed was so great, he was easily able to avoid Sasuke's Susanoo Arrows.
If this is true, Kabuto forced Itachi to use Izanami, one of the strongest techniques in Naruto.

So what do you think of Kabuto in Naruto? His War Arc character development,
and is unfortunate defeat?

Its a shame Kabuto might return to who he was once was. However, it was great while it lasted.

I think he came out as a great Villain, smart, tactical, prepared. I think he is a unappreciated character.
As he is the one that really made the War go this far.

I wish we got to see the true sage of the snake. He perfected it but kishi had to raise the itachi fanboys up.

Well atleast he was defeated by an Edo Tensei Itachi with unlimited Chakra and his younger brother Sasuke, which makes him a badass for even nearly defeating them both

Oh god... Just wait until his flashback. IF you still like him, THEN you can talk.

OT: Kabuto's just an Orochimaru knockoff who didn't even need the techniques kabuto used to be strong, where Kabuto made himself an anti-uchiha tank but lost his only fight against some.

When Kabuto entered DSM, that was completely awesome.

I didn't like Kabuto much without Orochimaru's powers, but once he gained those, and teamed up with Tobi/Obito, I thought he would have been one of the main final villains.

I thought they showed the Flashback in the manga? If so, I did see it.

I don't think hes an Orochimaru knowoff. He became a much more interesting character than Orochimaru to begin with. Basically making the War seem impossible with Edo Tensei.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with his flashback. It makes him an incredibly deep character.

Kabuto was a boss with a sad past.

Honestly his intellect set him up to be virtually unstoppable except for Uchiha Eye Haax (Izanami), and Obito's current state.

I loved how he went from devoted servant to trying to find his own way... Managing to play toe to toe with Obito's own scheme.

Oh. Okay. I just thought most people would think a guy killing his long lost mother in self defense was interesting. But I guess some are just not pleasable.

dude I nearly shot myself that entire month.
